Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 59-60
14 Justice is turned back,
Isaiah 59:14-16 NASB 1995
And righteousness stands far away;
For truth has stumbled in the street,
And uprightness cannot enter.
15 Yes, truth is lacking;
And he who turns aside from evil makes himself a prey.
Now the Lord saw,
And it was [g]displeasing in His sight that there was no justice.
16 And He saw that there was no man,
And was astonished that there was no one to intercede;
Then His own arm brought salvation to Him,
And His righteousness upheld Him.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
The truth will set you free. The truth always sets men free. Men need to know that I Am the way, the truth and the life. I Am the way to be set free. The truth of Me is eternal. The truth of Me extends beyond history in both directions. I have been from before the foundations of the Earth, and I will remain. Nothing will make Me untrue. Nothing will make me not the way. Nothing will make anything else another way. No one else can give life. I Am the essential element for life, for all life and for life more abundant.
19 So they will fear the name of the Lord from the west
Isaiah 59:19-21 NASB 1995
And His glory from the rising of the sun,
For He will come like a [k]rushing stream
Which the wind of the Lord drives.
20 “A Redeemer will come to Zion,
And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares the Lord.
21 “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your [l]offspring, nor from the mouth of your [m]offspring’s offspring,” says the Lord, “from now and forever.”
A need for truth, a deep longing and imbedded need for truth causes searchers to reach their hands to the sky for truth. In My Kingdom, truth is not scare. In My Kingdom, truth prospers, flourishes and is abundant. In the garden of My truths, any truth that you pick points back to Me, the Creator. Every truth points men to Me. All truth finds it’s source and it’s life in Me. I Am the fountain of life. I Am the one who illuminates all truth. I illuminate the darkness of men’s hearts too, so they can see the stark reality of their own condition. My truth is eternal. It does not waver, bend or break. My truth is glorious, pure, steadfast and sure. The truth of the Gospel of the good news of Jesus Christ and His resurrection is the bedrock, is the foundational truth upon which to build life. If He is Your rock and your firm foundation, you shall not be moved.
Anchor yourself in the most essential truth, and you will become like a magnet, drawing truth to yourself. You may not recognize it, but your hunger for truth and your desire for truth will increase with every taste of truth.
60 “Arise, shine; for your light has come,
Isaiah 60:1-3 NASB 1995
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
3 “Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
These are days of anti-truth rhetoric, anti-truth demands and anti-truth rallying cries. Stand against the lies. Stand against what is antithetical to truth. Stand tall upon truth, and it will hold you firm. I will hold you, secure you. Don’t be swayed by the winds of narrative. The winds have been carrying the doctrines of demons. Plant yourself firmly in the Gospel, on the bedrock, the firm foundation of Jesus, the Messiah, the Christ, the Savior of the world, and you shall not be moved. Choose truth. Choose Me. Choose the eternal.
How to Respond
- Seek the Lord with all your mind, heart, soul & strength.
- Pray, Holy Spirit, You are the One who leads us into all truth. Help me to see and discern truth and respond accordingly. I pray for my loved ones as well, that You would lead their hearts and their lives to truth. Cause a great hunger for truth to fall upon the people. Cause a great discontent with the lies and deception that have left the people unsatisfied and in lack. Change the course of our generation by giving us a great, insatiable desire for truth Lord. Only You can.
- Declare, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No man can come to the Father except by Him. Holy Spirit leads us into all truth.
- Decree, I commit to pursue truth. I will not entertain lies to avoid conflict. I will speak the truth, and I will love people by sharing the truth. My rock and my firm foundation is Jesus Christ. I shall not be moved.
