Today’s Reading:
Psalm 9
But Yahweh, our mighty God, reigns forever! He sits enthroned as King ready to render his verdicts and judge all with righteousness. He will issue his decrees of judgment, deciding what is right for the entire world, dispensing justice to all. All who are oppressed may come to Yahweh as a high shelter in the time of trouble, a perfect hiding place. For everyone who knows your wonderful name keeps putting their trust in you. They can count on you for help no matter what. O Lord, you will never, no never, neglect those who come to you. Listen, everyone! Sing out your praises to the God who rules in Zion! Tell the world about all the miracles he has done! He tracks down killers and avenges bloodshed, but he will never forget the ones forgotten by others, hearing every one of their cries for justice.
Psalms 9:7-12 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God of Truth says,
Truth is rising in the streets, and justice is sweeping in like a great cleansing force. Truth is percolating and circulating amongst the people. The powers that be have lost control of the information. They have lost control of the narrative. They have lost control of the outcome. As time marches forward they are losing more and more ground. The ground on which they stand is eroding by the minute, by the hour.
Don’t forget this: all the wicked will one day fall into the darkness of death’s domain, including the nations that forget God and reject his ways. He will not forget the needs of the poor. One day the needy will be remembered, and their hopes will not be forever dashed in disappointment.
Psalms 9:17-18 TPT
The circumstances are dire for the wicked. Everything they once firmly held in their grasp, everything that once was controlled with a simple command has slipped through their fingers.
Truth is rising like the walls of water that parted the Red Sea. Truth will be what sets My people free. Truth will be what makes a way where there was no way. And truth will be what crashes upon, demolishes and drowns the wicked. The power of truth knows no bounds. Truth is unstoppable by the wicked and a protective and offensive weapon for those on My side.
I will worship you, Yahweh, with extended hands as my whole heart erupts with praise! I will tell everyone everywhere about your wonderful works! I will be glad and shout in triumph. I will sing praise to your exalted name, O Most High. For when you appear, I worship you while my enemies run in retreat. They stumble and perish before your presence. For you have stood up for my cause and vindicated me when I needed you the most. From your righteous throne you have given me justice. With a blast of your rebuke, nations are destroyed. You obliterated their names forever and ever. The Lord thundered and our enemies have been cut off, vanished in everlasting ruins. All their cities have been destroyed— even the memory of them has been erased.
Psalms 9:1-6 TPT
Watch as the truth parts the Red Sea. Watch as the truth creates a path of firm and dry ground for you where none existed before. And watch as the truth brings you through from the place of your captivity and bondage to a land flowing with milk and honey, to a place where you will never see your enemies again. I will do this all by the Spirit of Truth, through the One who is Truth for My lovers and My Name’s sake. The truth will set you free. You will see it in your day, that the truth will set many free. It will set the whole world free.
How to Respond
- Stir up your love for the truth. Refuse to give room to any lie in your life.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come as the great separator of truth from lie. Continue to cause the enemy to lose ground, and cause truth to gain the upper hand. Continue to wake people up. Give those who are living in deception eyes to see and ears to hear. And help me to recognize the day of this our great salvation — this great rescue in which You are opening a path that even moments before seemed impossible.
- Declare, great is the Lord and worthy of all glory, honor and praise. He is the Lord of our salvation. He rescues us over and over.
- Decree, I will pursue the truth, and I will war with the weapon of truth. I will put on the full armor of God and walk boldly and confidently as the Lord erodes the power of the wicked. I will see the Lord part the Red Sea and make a way for our great escape from bondage and captivity. He will make is so that we never again see our captors and enemies.
