Psalm 22
”Mocked by their jeers, despised with their sneers, as all the people poke fun at me, spitting their insults, saying, “Is this the one who trusted in God? Now let’s see if Yahweh will come to your rescue! Let’s see how much he delights in him!”“
Psalms 22:7-8 TPT
The Spirit of the Living Roaring God says,
I’m chasing lions, the roaring lions. These roaring lions of prey are surrounding My people, intimidating My people, clawing at and encircling My people. But I will defang them and render them as weak and defenseless house cats. I will remove their masks, and strip them of their titles. Then the people will see that they were never lions. These roaring anarchists of darkness and evil were not the wild predators they made themselves out to be. They were domesticated runts who couldn’t catch more than a mouse.
”I’m surrounded by many violent foes like bulls; forces of evil encircle me like the strong bulls of Bashan. Like ravenous, roaring lions tearing their prey, they pour curses from their mouths.“
Psalms 22:12-13 TPT
The word for “bull” in Hebrew means to break or destroy. The word “Bashan” means serpent and represents the demonic.
Even now and moving into the days ahead, you will see these seeming roaring lions, these seeming titanous rulers who lord over the people in their stature and with their platforms, titles, words and decrees. Some of them will have the platform removed unceremoniously from beneath them. Others will be plucked up and removed. Others will be shown to be weak and feeble rather than the vicious attack animals they portrayed themselves to be. These seemingly vicious rabid wild animals who have mocked and scorned and surrounded My people will be shown to be nothing more than a rag tag band of big mouthed school yard bullies. Their ferocious veneer will be removed, and they will be seen for what they truly are. These are no lions. They don’t have the heart of lions. They have the heart of hyenas. They have the heart of ostriches. They have the heart of chickens, and they have the heart of wild boar. These are no lions.
”From the four corners of the earth, the peoples of the world will remember and return to Yahweh. Every nation will come and worship him. For Yahweh is King of all, who takes charge of all the nations. The wealthy of this world will feast in fellowship with him right alongside the humble of heart, bowing down to the dust, forsaking their own souls. They will all come and worship this worthy King! His spiritual seed shall serve him. Future generations will hear from us about the wonders of the Victorious Lord. His generation yet to be born will glorify him. And they will all declare, “It is finished!”“
Psalms 22:27-31 TPT
My people are the lions. My people are the ones who will respond to these uncoverings, these revelations, these removals with their mighty roars. And those roars will shake the strongholds. Those roars will topple the strongholds. Those roars will cause the gates of hell to tremble, shrink back and flee. These predators who seek the ruin and destruction of My people will be unmasked, declawed and defanged. And they will experience the destruction and ruin that their blood thirsty mouths wanted for My people. They will meet the end they desired for My people. Their works will not stand. Their plans for dominance and ruling will fail. They will meet the end they sought for My people. The people of God and the will of the Living God will prevail in righteousness, in love and in liberty.
How to Respond
- Do not give way to fear. Trust the Lord.
- Pray, Holy Spirit do as You have said. Remove from the wicked their facades of ferocious dominating power. Show them to be weak, pathetic and powerless. Cause the evil that they desire to bring onto Your people to come back on them. Remove them from positions of power. Remove the platforms from beneath their feet. Cause Your Spirit to move on Your people to roar as the true lions and push back the gates of hell — causing them to flee.
- Declare, the Lord my God is mighty to save. He will rescue His people. He will uncover and neuter darkness. He will show Himself strong, and He will remove the wicked from positions of influence and power.
- Decree, I will stand firmly in truth and in the love of the Lord. I will not shrink back in fear, regardless of the seeming roaring lions who encircle the lovers of God and truth. I will see the wicked exposed and shamed. I will see the wicked destroyed and ruined by their own plans to destroy and ruin others. I will see the people of the Living God roar with a mighty, penetrating roar that topples enemy strongholds and causes the gate of hell to tremble and flee.
