Today’s Reading:
Psalm 31

”Rescue me quickly when I cry out to you. At the sound of my prayer may your ear be turned to me. Be my strong shelter and hiding place on high. Pull me into victory and breakthrough. For you are my high fortress, where I’m kept safe. You are to me a stronghold of salvation. When you deliver me out of this peril, it will bring glory to your name. As you guide me forth I’ll be kept safe from the hidden snares of the enemy— the secret traps that lie before me— for you have become my rock of strength.“

Psalms‬ ‭31‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The Spirit of the Victorious Living God says,
Will I not give you a strategy for war? Will I not lead you in battle? Spring is the time that kings go out to war. You will be led by your King. I will not lead you into a battle you cannot win. I will not lead you to a fight without a path to victory. I go before you, and I Am your rear guard. Whom or what shall you fear? The days of war are upon us. The warriors have left their homes, their camps and are out on the field. My grace is in the midst of the fight. My grace is in forward motion, in advancement.

Many of My warriors, My faithful warriors have felt stuck, have felt held back, have felt like they are up to their necks in wet cement and cannot move forward, cannot break free to fight the way they were born to fight, or run the way they were born to run, to even release the sound they were born to release.

”In mercy you have seen my troubles, and you have cared for me; even during this crisis in my soul I will be radiant with joy, filled with praise for your love and mercy. I’m desperate, Lord! I throw myself upon you, for you alone are my God! My life, my every moment, my destiny—it’s all in your hands. So I know you can deliver me from those who persecute me relentlessly. Smile on me, your servant. Let your undying love and glorious grace save me from all this gloom.“

Psalms‬ ‭31‬:‭7‬, 14-16‬ ‭TPT‬‬

My Presence is dissolving the resistance around you. My Presence — My joy, My love, My faithfulness is dissolving the restraints around you; and as you keep trying to move ahead through the sludge, through the seemingly intractable, impossible resistance, you will find that at a certain step, at a certain moment, all at once — where you have been able to make so little progress, you have had so little momentum, you have had so much resistance, you will break free. You will go from almost negative forward motion, motion that required so much energy, so much dedication, so much pain to continue to move forward — you will find that I have broken you free from the resistance. I have dissolved the atmosphere of restraint and resistance around you, and you will run like a racehorse who’s shot out of the gate.

”The name of the Lord is blessed and lifted high! For his marvelous miracle of mercy protected me when I was overwhelmed by my enemies. I spoke hastily when I said, “The Lord has deserted me.” For in truth, you did hear my prayer and came to rescue me. Listen to me, all you godly ones: Love the Lord with passion! The Lord protects and preserves all those who are loyal to him. But he pays back in full all those who reject him in their pride. So cheer up! Take courage, all you who love him. Wait for him to break through for you, all who trust in him!“

Psalms‬ ‭31‬:‭21‬-‭24‬ ‭TPT‬‬

You will see that the resistance training and the endurance training has served a purpose. You will see that when I call you and say go, you will have the energy, the will and the ability to go. You will see that when I call you to stand, and you have done all you can to stand, you will be among those warriors who are well able to remain standing. You will be ever-vigilant watchmen. You will be mighty warriors who have hope. This resistance is something the enemy meant for evil, but I will release My mighty warriors like giant warhorses of old, and you will see My purpose in the resistance. All of that trained your muscles, trained your mental and spiritual strength and brought you endurance you could not have gained in the weight room.

Keep moving forward through the sludge and the seemingly impossible circumstances. Keep building those muscles of faith. Keep strengthening yourself in Me by stirring up joy, by clinging to hope, by recounting my faithfulness, because in a moment, in an instant, in one particular step forward, I will break these bonds of resistance, and you will be set free.

How to Respond

  • Trust and obey. You may not see what your circumstances are building, but God will use them for good as you remain in Him.
  • Worship the Lord and welcome His Presence. His Presence is what will dissolve the resistance in your life.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit come. Fill me with fresh joy. Pour out your oil of gladness in my life. Bring to mind moments of Your great faithfulness to me. You have never let me down. You have never left me hanging. Come Lord. Help me to push through. Help me to endure. Help me to sustain until the moment you break through. Break through Lord. Come and dissolve the resistance that is holding me back in all of the places you have called me to run. When you bring the breakthrough. I will be ready to run.
  • Declare, My God is the Lord of the breakthrough. He turns every bitter thing sweet, and what the enemy meant for evil, He will use for good.
  • Decree, I will continue forward on my march into the battle. I will not grow weary. I will not give up. I will not faint. I will continue to push forward against even strong resistance and headwinds. I will push forward through the sludge and the drying concrete, because I will be one who is found faithful to the call of the Lord my God.
  • Decree, The Lord will break through for me, and when He does I will run like a a racehorse into all of the work He has called me to do. I will be found amongst the most fit warriors, because I endured. I continued until my Lord broke through for me. In the day of My breakthrough, I will give all of the glory to the Lord. I will know that He alone did it, and I will make sure everyone who saw my struggles knows that the author and bringer of My breakthrough was the Lord.
