Joel 3
‘Let the nations be aroused And come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I will sit to judge All the surrounding nations. Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great.’

Jehoshaphat means God has judged; God governs
The Spirit of the Living God says,
Grace is dispersing. It is departing from some and being gathered more thickly in greater measure for others. Lines in the sand are being drawn, and sides for some will be chosen. This is the opportunity to double down on evil or to walk away to freedom, to Jesus. For a certain group the decision time is gathering, and the choice to stay with darkness or to run to Jesus must be made. How long will you waver between two opinions? How long will you mingle Christ with witchcraft? This is rebellion.
‘Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness. The Lord roars from Zion And utters His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and the earth tremble. But the Lord is a refuge for His people And a stronghold to the sons of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain. So Jerusalem will be holy, And strangers will pass through it no more.’

Clouds are gathering over the Valley of Decision. Forces have already arrayed and stand in formation in the Valley of Decision. This is the final chance to cross the line, to depart from one side and go to the other. Stragglers from the side of darkness are departing and changing sides — one here, one there, yet another over there. Some on the side of light have been hidden and embedded in the side of darkness. They will be shielded in their assignment. I will give them cover.
My heart is broken for the ones who remain on the side of darkness. They know not what they are choosing. Yet it is still their choice to make. Their destruction of innocence, their warring against the future of My people, their enslaving and radical indoctrination with demon doctrines must be answered. It must be dealt with. It must be snuffed out. The Valley of Decision is the site of the cleansing flood of My judgement.
‘And in that day The mountains will drip with sweet wine, And the hills will flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah will flow with water; And a spring will go out from the house of the Lord To water the valley of Shittim. Egypt will become a waste, And Edom will become a desolate wilderness, Because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, In whose land they have shed innocent blood. But Judah will be inhabited forever And Jerusalem for all generations. And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged, For the Lord dwells in Zion.’

Judah means to praise; let Him be praised.
Shittim means to turn away from virtue —- specifically from fidelity in marriage.
Egypt means double distress or married to tragedy.
Edom was what Esau was called after he sold his birthright to his brother. The name Edom also means “red.”
Jerusalem means in awe of peace or teaching peace.
Zion very dry, fortress, wisdom tradition.
The cleansing flood of My judgement, the powerful tidal wave of My judgement will meet them in the Valley of Decision, and it will wipe the slate clean. It will decimate the forces of darkness, and not one will be left standing. This is the time of My cleansing flood. These are the last waning moments for those deeply embedded in darkness to change sides. My victory is here — for love, for righteousness and for truth. My judgement will cover all the wicked and the righteous alike. Each will receive what they have sown — some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred fold.
How to Respond
- Examine yourself with the Lord. Make sure you are one-hundred percent on His side. Ask Him to show you any areas that need repentance and purifying.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. We have longed for and prayed for Your judgement and justice — for the wicked and the righteous alike. It has felt like your justice has been held back, but we know that it will not delay forever. Bring it as You have said. Clean the slate of the wicked once their final moment of opportunity passes Lord. And bring the long-delayed promises and fruitfulness to those who have chosen to faithfully remain in You.
- Declare, great is the Lord and worthy of all glory, honor and praise. There is none like You Lord. Your mercies are new every morning. You are slow to anger, and Your love endures forever. The Lord is bringing His judgement and justice. And we will see the recompense of the wicked and the righteous. The Lord will reward each according to His deeds.
- Decree, I am on the side of the Lord. I will not be moved from my station. I will worship the Lord and offer Him praises. I will make His Name famous. I will sing and shout about His victory, His love and His great rescue. I will be even more undignified than this in celebration of My victorious, everlasting God and Savior, King Jesus.
