Today’s Reading:
Psalm 16
“I said to Yahweh, “You are my Maker and my Master. Any good thing you find in me has come from you.” And he said to me, “My holy lovers in the land are my glorious ones, who fulfill all my desires.””
Psalms 16:2-3 TPT
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Trace your affections back to Me. Follow your affections, and ensure that they lead back to Me. We are entering dark times. It’s important to make sure your anchor is secure. Trace back your affections to Me. My grace is sufficient for you to make a change. My grace is sufficient for you to reorder things and set them to right. Trace back your affections. Ensure they terminate in Me. Ensure they begin and end in Me. I Am the power source. I Am the love source. I Am the truth source, and I Am the justice source.
“Yet there are those who yield to their weakness, and they will have troubles unending. I never gather with such ones, nor give them honor in any way.”
Psalms 16:4 TPT
Trace back your affections like you would a cable. Am I the source? Am I the origination point? Ensure that I Am the sunrise of your affections and the sunset of your affections. Ensure that all of your affections find their beginning and end in Me. If I Am not the source, clear them out. Ask Me to test your heart. Make the tough but necessary choices. This is a time where your heart can be at ease but only if you are fully moored and anchored to Me. Trace back all of the lines of your affections. Make sure they are true and faultless, and give yourself fully to Me.
Lay down your life completely before Me. This is the great exchange. Anything that you have been holding onto, anything that you have been keeping for yourself — hand it over. Lay it down. Give it to Me. I’m the one who can do something with it. I’m the one who can make something out of thin air.
“Yahweh, you alone are my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion. You hold my destiny and its timing in your hands. Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following you! The way you counsel me makes me praise you more, for your whispers in the night give me wisdom, showing me what to do next. Because I set you, Yahweh, always close to me, my confidence will never be weakened, for I experience your wraparound presence every moment.”
Psalms 16:5-8 TPT
Stop hoarding these little pieces of your life like locked away treasures. Lay them down. Hand them over. Live so openly and so purely before Me that you can honestly say, I have given it all to the Lord. He has it all. I hold nothing back. Everything I Am and everything I have begins and ends in Him. This is the beginning of true life. This is the beginning of freedom. It starts with tracing the lines of your affection. Ensure they begin and end in Me.
How To Respond
- Sit with the Lord and honestly survey with Him all of the lines of Your affections. Re-order your heart and priorities accordingly. Honestly review whether you have given all that you are and have to Him. Hold nothing back.
- Pray, Jesus, thank You for Your gift of salvation. I want to hold nothing back from You, because You gave up everything for me. Help me to live with untainted affections. Help me to live freely and openly before You — with nothing withheld and nothing to hide.
- Declare, the Lord is the source of all love, all truth, all power and all justice.
- Decree, I will live openly, honestly and carefree before My God, because He’s given everything to make Me whole, to wipe my slate clean and make me new in Him again. I will hold nothing back. I will trace my every affection and ensure that Jesus is the source. Where He is not, I will get rid of that affection.
