Today’s Readings:
Isaiah 26
Isaiah 59
Malachi 4

14 Justice is turned back,
And righteousness stands far away;
For truth has stumbled in the street,
And uprightness cannot enter.
15 Truth is lacking,
And one who turns aside from evil makes himself a prey.
Now the Lord saw,
And it was displeasing in His sight that there was no justice.
16 And He saw that there was no one,
And was amazed that there was not one to intercede;
Then His own arm brought salvation to Him,
And His righteousness upheld Him.

Isaiah 59:14-16

The Lord says,
Truth. I have driven truth into the Earth like a massive anchoring timber. She is bright and white and beautiful, though she is concealed in the public square as if covered with a big sheet prior to a ceremonial unveiling. She is there, waiting for My hand to remove the sheet and reveal her in all of her beauty and perfection. Her light will shine bright and will also reveal some very ugly truths. This tall pillar of truth reflects the realities before her. The ultimate truth is Jesus Himself. Yet this pillar reflects all — the good, the bad and the very, very ugly. Nothing will escape having its reflection being exposed, tested and proven in the immovable, unfudgeable mirrors of the mighty pillar of truth.

9 Therefore justice is far from us,
And righteousness does not reach us;
We hope for light, but there is darkness,
For brightness, but we walk in gloom.
10 We grope for the wall like people who are blind,
We grope like those who have no eyes.
We stumble at midday as in the twilight;
Among those who are healthy we are like the dead.

Isaiah 54:9-10

The truth will cast a great show on the land, and it will cause much despair. It will stun, shock, disgust and call to question all that many thought was true. But as the Son moves on the people, His light, the light of Jesus will overtake the shadow, the darkness and the despair. The light of the truth of the One, the Only One Jesus, who can forgive, reconcile, heal, repair and give the breath of resurrection life — His light will shine in all of these places that the darkness of the shadow of truth has fallen. He will overtake every corner, crevice, nook and cranny.

19 Your dead will live;
Their corpses will rise.
You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy,
For your dew is as the dew of the dawn,
And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.

Isaiah 26:19

He will cause these broken and shell shocked ones to wake from their long slumber; and they will be kissed with new life. They will not just be resuscitated. They will be made new. They will be barely recognizable because of the light and the joy, the wholeness, the love and the peace that they carry. These formerly living dead ones know how to celebrate. And they will both lead and be cause for great celebration. So many victories will be won in a very short period of time. Jesus’s light and touch will cause great, beautiful transformations of hearts, souls and futures.

4 No one sues righteously and no one pleads honestly.
They trust in confusion and speak lies;
They conceive trouble and give birth to disaster.

Isaiah 59:4

The pillar of truth that stands in the public square will shine brightly. Her light, her steadfastness and her reflection will be used as a test and a measure for the new changes that the people consider. Truth will become the scale, the measure, the boundary line and the fixed point against which all new changes are measured. She will be revered and have a place of great honor in the public square. She will also be a common reference point for average people in their day-to-day lives. She will be available to all, and she will welcome all to herself and to her scales.

Many will come to the base of the pillar of truth to have their scales recalibrated. Over time, many scales have become false, leaning for some too much toward religion, for some too much toward permissiveness. Truth will be the true measure by which many scales are recalibrated.

4 “For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says the Lord of armies, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branches. 2 But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic like calves from the stall. 3 And you will crush the wicked underfoot, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I am preparing,” says the Lord of armies.

Malachi 4:1-3

Some of the shaking you have felt is the result of Me having driven and planted the pillar of truth into its deep immovable place in the public square. Though she is concealed from sight, you can see her outline, and you know that she is there, waiting to be revealed and to reveal many things. Keep your eyes on Me. Cling to Me and you will not falter in the day of her revealing nor in light of the revelations that she makes known.

How to Respond

  • Declare, the Lord has established the truth in the Earth, and He will move to reveal the truth of His Son Jesus to many. He will also expose many truths — good and bad — that have been concealed from the public’s view.
  • Declare, the Lord is bringing the revelation of many truths and a wave of repentance and revival together at one time.
  • Pray, Lord, search my heart and life. Show me now any ways that need to be set right and made pure so that I may approach the pillar of truth without fear or hesitation.
  • Fill your heart and mind with thanksgiving.
  • Pray, thank you Lord for your faithfulness and for revealing the truth, so people can be awakened, restored and set free. You are setting us up for an amazing season of resurrections and justice.
