Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 61-62

61 The Spirit of the Lord [a]God is upon me,
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the [b]afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And [c]freedom to prisoners;
2 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
So they will be called [d]oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Isaiah 61:1-3 NASB 1995

The Spirit of the Living God says,
You can trust Me. You can trust that My heart is for you. You can trust that My heart is in you. I will move obviously in your days. You won’t be suspicious about coincidences or happenstance. You will know that the hand of the Lord of All, the hand of Yeshua, Almighty God, Savior and King touched the Earth. You will know it in the deepest parts of you, and no one and no thing will be able to convince you otherwise. These are rowdy days of great consequence. These are days in which I plant My flag and raise My banner high.

62 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet,
Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness,
And her salvation like a torch that is burning.
2 The nations will see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory;
And you will be called by a new name
Which the mouth of the Lord will designate.
3 You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord,
And a royal [i]diadem in the hand of your God.
4 It will no longer be said to you, “[j]Forsaken,”
Nor to your land will it any longer be said, “[k]Desolate”;
But you will be called, “[l]My delight is in her,”
And your land, “[m]Married”;
For the Lord delights in you,
And to Him your land will be married.
5 For as a young man marries a virgin,
So your sons will marry you;
And as the [n]bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
So your God will rejoice over you.

Isaiah 62:1-5 NASB 1995

These are days of overturning. These are days of a great significant, indisputable, powerful and sudden shift by the right. Change is upon us, and change is among us. Change is everywhere you look, yet you will see more of it. You will experience days where it seems nothing has stayed the same and nothing looks familiar. This is the time of the onslaught of change. It may feel like living inside of a tornado. You will see the old swirling around you but never settling back down. You will just see bits and pieces of the old ejected from your sight. All the while a great cleaning is taking place, all the while you can experience great and perfect peace inside of the storm, inside of the very storm. You will not be outside of the storm, you will be inside of it. But you will experience great peace and inner calm.

4 Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins,
They will raise up the former devastations;
And they will repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.

Isaiah 61:4 NASB 1995

I Am destroying old systems, old ways of thinking and old idols that could be marked as old or former loves. I Am rounding them up and discarding them. I Am ejecting them from the scene. Tradition is being ejected. Religion without power, without Jesus is being rejected and ejected. We will return to a place of great austerity and purity. We will return to a place of simplicity and simple beauty. No frills, no complications, no complexities. We will return to simple truth, to the pure and simple Gospel, to the ancient foundations and to foundational principles. That is what the storm will accomplish. That is why there is no escape from the storm, but there is complete safety in Me. You can find protection in Me. You can find total and complete peace in Me, but no one can escape the storm. It’s here for change. It’s here for wholesale change.

How to Respond

  • Trust the Lord your God with all your mind, heart, soul and strength.
  • Pray, Lord come. Help me to hide myself in You. Help me to trust You completely to bring the change, to stir up the change that gets rid of old systems, old ways and old idols. Restore us as only You can to simplicity and truth, to the pure and simple Gospel, to Jesus. Let everything else be stripped away. Let only what is essential, profitable and useful to the Gospel of Jesus, to the Gospel of the Kingdom of God remain. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
  • Declare, the Lord is stirring up change and ejecting old systems, ways and loves that we have allowed to compete for our affections. He is bringing us back to the simple, pure and perfect Gospel.
  • Decree, I will see the Lord move in undeniable ways. I will be at perfect peace, safely hidden in the Lord my God though the storm rages around me. I will experience a great return to the ancient foundations of truth and the simple Gospel of Jesus and the Kingdom of God.
