Today’s Readings:
Psalm 63
Isaiah 25
John 3-4

63 God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You;
My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water.

Psalm 63:1

The Lord says,
I Am increasing the hunger and the desire for Me. Many have operated on their own, in their own mode, in their own desires and their own world all of this time; and suddenly they want more. Suddenly, the status quo is not enough. Suddenly, they desire Me, desire truth, desire freedom. I have released a hunger and desire for Me, for righteousness and for freedom. I have released a deep longing for a different kind of life and a different kind of approach to living; and the people are hungry and growing in hunger. The people are searching for the access point that will bring that change in their life.

9 And it will be said on that day,
“Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us.
This is the Lord for whom we have waited;
Let’s rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

Isaiah 25:9

People will be drawn like magnets to My Presence. People will be drawn in large numbers to the place where My Presence rests. People will be drawn to the light bearers who can show them the way. They are ready to jump ship from this life they have been living. They want more. They want fulfillment and relationship with Me. They want forgiveness. They want a more perfect way to live. They want a path that heals their family and instructs them in what is right. They have been wandering out in the wilderness for too long. They have grown weary of their own way and seeking only to fulfill their own desires. They want more. They want Me.

6 Now the Lord of armies will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain;
A banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow,
And refined, aged wine.
7 And on this mountain He will destroy the covering which is over all peoples,
The veil which is stretched over all nations.
8 He will swallow up death for all time,
And the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces,
And He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth;
For the Lord has spoken.

Isaiah 25:6-8

They will come out of the wilderness in droves to My tents of meeting. They will even empty out the churches in search of Me. Those wilderness churches haven’t done much. The churches who are shining lights will be filled to the brim with no explanation except My drawing.

This is a season of unquenchable, passionate desire, outrageous, undeniable hunger for Me; and the people won’t rest until they find Me. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest to supply more workers. For the Harvest is abundant — even super abundant — but the workers are few.

Be among the workers. Be among the light bearers. Be among the truth tellers. Be among the shepherds and disciple makers. This will be an enduring harvest season, and true discipling and teaching, counseling and leading will be needed for each one. This is a harvest that has great potential to produce true, deeply rooted lovers, followers and change makers. But they must be taught, led and loved. There must be follow up after Baptism.

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.

John 3:16-17

Position yourself to catch them as they come. Position yourself to invite them in and love them, teach them and satisfy their hunger for knowledge of Me. Just as with earthly hunger, one meal will not satisfy you for life or even for one week. The feeding must be disciplined, consistent and of good nutritional value. I Am the Lord of the Harvest and I say, prepare the table. Position yourself and your family, your home to welcome them. This is a season of incredible increase for the Kingdom.

35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields, that they are white for harvest.36 Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for eternal life, so that the one who sows and the one who reaps may rejoice together.37 For in this case the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have come into their labor.”

John 4:35-38

It is My joy and My delight to release this hunger that will cause so many of My wandering ones to come home, to be reunited or newly welcomed into family, to find safety, love and all of the benefits of sonship. This is a glorious time, and it is My glory to do it. Open your life up to these. Be part of the Harvest and the building and growing of the Kingdom. Both will happen simultaneously. The Harvest will continue for many months and even years. You can’t wait till the end of the Harvest to begin discipling. You must start immediately. You must start now.

How to Respond

  • Ask the Lord how you can best position yourself to serve the Harvest and the Kingdom building.
  • Find ways to support the teachers and the preachers of the True Gospel who are making a way for these hungry ones to repent and be powerfully changed by Jesus.
  • Fill your home with worship and your eyes and heart with expectation for the change and revival the Lord is ushering in.
  • Declare, as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. None in my family will be missed in this Harvest, and we will be a blessing to each one the Lord brings or asks us to serve.
  • Decree, the Lord’s release of hunger for Him is causing a great stirring of hearts. He is driving transformation of society at the individual level. No plan of hell will stop what He is doing.
  • Pray, Lord, send more harvesters and disciple makers to help with the work of your rapidly expanding Kingdom.
