These Are Days for Joy, Laughter & Celebrations 

Today’s Readings:
Psalm 63
Isaiah 55
Nehemiah 8

12 “For you will go out with joy
And be led forth with peace;
The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you,
And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
13 “Instead of the thorn bush the cypress will come up,
And instead of the nettle the myrtle will come up,
And it will be a memorial to the Lord,
For an everlasting sign which will not be cut off.”

Isaiah 55:12-13

The Lord says,
These are days for joy, laughter, celebrations and true victory dances. These are not days for stoicism, cold-heartedness, fear or anxiety. These are days where celebration begets freedom, and freedom begets more celebration. These are days of parades and marching bands, of streamers, cake and fireworks. These are days where children lead great processions for life, for victory and for freedom. These are the days of the people wrestling back their birthright. These are days of great unity and purity of heart and purpose. These are the days where those here now take a stand for the future. Do it all with great joy.

10 Then he said to them, “Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Nehemiah 8:10

The joy of the Lord is your strength. Joy is a shield for your soul. If you cultivate joy and sustain it with faith, together they will protect your soul from the fiery darts of the enemy. Joy is the inner shield and faith is the outer shield.

Laughter is a weapon because it taunts the enemy and strikes fear in his heart. True belly laughs are not marks of anxiety and fear but of freedom and victory. Laughter is a medicine and a weapon. Wield it generously.

Celebration is an act of obedience and honor to Me for the victory I have wrought — whether the victory is here now or whether you can see it in the distance. Celebration stirs joy and laughter, and it further confuses the enemy.

12 All the people went away to eat, to drink, to send portions and to celebrate a great festival, because they understood the words which had been made known to them.

This is a time to lighten your load, to widen your perspective and to choose joy, laughter and celebration. This is a time to operate as though what will be has already happened. This is a time to celebrate for the victory yet to come, for the freedom yet to be taken back, for the restoration of the ancient foundations. Celebrate now what you have been shown. Celebrate now all that you have been fighting for, praying for, declaring and decreeing. Rejoice now. Worship now.

The momentum is building and the crescendo is so close. Use these weapons — of joy, laughter, celebration, of rejoicing, worshiping, making declarations and decrees of thanksgiving and victory — to make this final push. Use all of these to usher us in to home plate, to push us over the top. The bases are loaded and we are one crack of the bat away from all of these pieces moving toward home for a massive, unparalleled, truly unfathomable victory.

How to Respond

• Choose joy, laughter, hope and celebration.
• Plant yourself in a stance and posture of victory.
• Pray, Lord You are great and mighty to save. Your plan is at work and You are moving us toward freedom, justice, truth and great celebrations. Help me to know my part and to do it.
• Declare, the Lord has us on the precipice of great victory. Joy, laughter and celebration will push us through to that great victory we have been praying for, declaring and decreeing.
• Decree, the enemy is defeated and the Lord reigns victorious. The end of tyranny and oppression is here. Victory is ours, and it is here.
• Decree, truth is here. Unity for America and the people of the world is here. Revival is here. Healing is here. Restoration is here. Justice is here. Freedom is here. Prosperity and true innovation are here. Kingdom advancement is here. Miracles are here. A global Pentecost of breakthrough, Holy Spirit fire and the supernatural is here.
