Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 40-41
10 Behold, the Lord God will come with might,
Isaiah 40:10-11
With His arm ruling for Him.
Behold, His reward is with Him
And His recompense before Him.
11 Like a shepherd He will tend His flock,
In His arm He will gather the lambs
And carry them in His bosom;
He will gently lead the nursing ewes.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Trust in Me, and I will rain down on you. Trust in Me, and I will rain down spiritual blessings and many kinds of gifts from Heaven for you. Trust in Me. The storm clouds are gathering. The winds are picking up, and they are a beginning to sting the skin. But trust in Me. I Am the anchor for your soul. I Am the steadfast rock upon which you stand. I Am Your firm foundation, your shelter, your tower of refuge and strength. Even as the storm blows in, even as the winds whip and the world becomes very unsteady, even as people are retreating into hiding places of safety, I have called you to stand. I have called you to stand on Me, your rock and Your salvation. Will I not pour out a blessing so great that it’s too big to fathom?
10 ‘Do not fear, for I am with you;
Isaiah 41:10-11
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
11 “Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored;
Those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish.
This is a time of great shaking. This is a time of a very dark and powerful storm, but I Am calling you to stand and withstand. I will shield you and protect you as you face the elements. You are not to go into hiding. You cannot receive My gifts, My blessing, My protection in hiding. They are all to be found at your battle station. Do not retreat My beautiful warriors of love. Do not back up. Do not step down. Stand firmly and boldly at the battle station to which you are called, which you have been given, and watch as the storm will not touch you there. Your battle station is the refuge. It is the place of My great, wild provision, protection and blessing. It is the place of My fantastic and supernatural grace. You will be surrounded as if with a clear 360 degree windshield from the storm. You will see the storm. You will be in the storm, but you will be protected from its effects. This protection and provision is only at your battle station. It is greatest at your battle station.
15 “Behold, I have made you a new, sharp threshing sledge with double edges;
Isaiah 41:15-20
You will thresh the mountains and pulverize them,
And will make the hills like chaff.
16 “You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away,
And the storm will scatter them;
But you will rejoice in the Lord,
You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.
17 “The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none,
And their tongue is parched with thirst;
I, the Lord, will answer them Myself,
As the God of Israel I will not forsake them.
18 “I will open rivers on the bare heights
And springs in the midst of the valleys;
I will make the wilderness a pool of water
And the dry land fountains of water.
19 “I will put the cedar in the wilderness,
The acacia and the myrtle and the olive tree;
I will place the juniper in the desert
Together with the box tree and the cypress,
20 That they may see and recognize,
And consider and gain insight as well,
That the hand of the Lord has done this,
And the Holy One of Israel has created it.
Will I protect those of My warriors who retreat? I will protect them, and I will provide for them, but they will not share in the glory and the victory to the extent that the ones who remain at their battle station will. They will not see the supernatural miracles up close and personal the way the warriors manning their battle stations will. They will miss the increase, grace and spectacular acceleration that My firmly planted battle station warriors will experience. Man your battle stations. Yours is the place where My grace is apparent. Yours is the place where My heart has led you. It is the place where you hear My voice with clarity and receive instruction. Man your battle stations. The storm is rapidly approaching.
How to Respond
- Ask the Lord if you are positioned in the place of your calling. If you are not, ask Him how to get there.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Thank You for Your amazing grace. Thank You for providing a way for us to participate and be protected in this coming great storm. Thank You for calling us out of our ordinary lives and making us warriors who do great exploits with You. Show us where to stand. Show us who our battle partners are. Show us how to be best positioned and equipped for the coming storm. Help us to trust You completely and to experience and recognize every miracle that You perform on our behalf. Help us to be positioned for those gifts of grace and blessing that You want to pour out in our lives in the midst of the storm.
- Declare, the Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. It is He who sits above the circle of the earth and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers. He is the One who stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. He is the One who reduces rulers to nothing, who makes the judges of the earth meaningless.
- Decree, those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength. We will mount up with wings like eagles. We will run and not get tired. We will walk and not become weary. I will trust in the Lord and be found among those who remained vigilant and steadfast at the battle station of their calling.
