Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 58-60
9 Therefore justice is far from us,
Isaiah 59:9-11
And righteousness does not overtake us;
We hope for light, but behold, darkness,
For brightness, but we walk in gloom.
10 We grope along the wall like blind men,
We grope like those who have no eyes;
We stumble at midday as in the twilight,
Among those who are vigorous we are like dead men.
11 All of us growl like bears,
And moan sadly like doves;
We hope for justice, but there is none,
For salvation, but it is far from us.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
My grace will carry you through. This is My promise to you. It will feel like you are in free fall. It will feel as if the world is so far away from solid truth. It will feel like you have never felt division run this deep. It will feel like a great heartbreaking divorce. And yet you will float above it. You will observe it. You will feel its impact, but you will not be touched by the mess. My grace is covering you, and this is My promise to you, you will float above it. I have provided for you and equipped you to float above it all. Don’t be distressed at the bad reports. Don’t partner with fear if you hear of wars and rumors of wars. This is not that time.
10 And if you give yourself to the hungry
Isaiah 58:10-12
And satisfy the desire of the afflicted,
Then your light will rise in darkness
And your gloom will become like midday.
11 “And the Lord will continually guide you,
And satisfy your desire in scorched places,
And give strength to your bones;
And you will be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
12 “Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins;
You will raise up the age-old foundations;
And you will be called the repairer of the breach,
The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.
This is the time of My eleventh hour breakthrough. This is the time of My come from behind victory. This is the time of the unlikeliest of resurrections. This is the dawning of a new day and the great turnaround. It will come when all hope seems lost. It will come when the world seems too dark and too far gone. It will come when they try to even blot out the sun. Then My brightness will rise on you. Then creation will see who the sons and daughters of the Most High King are. Revelation will unfold like a blooming flower field, and the truth will stand firm like four mighty white pillars.
60 “Arise, shine; for your light has come,
Isaiah 60:1-5
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
3 “Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 “Lift up your eyes round about and see;
They all gather together, they come to you.
Your sons will come from afar,
And your daughters will be carried in the arms.
5 “Then you will see and be radiant,
And your heart will thrill and rejoice;
Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you,
The wealth of the nations will come to you.
I have provided a way for you to rise above the noise, to not be distracted or deterred by what you see and hear. I have provided you a way to maneuver far above the fray. I have provided for your freedom here. Truth will stand eternal before them as four mighty white pillars established in the Earth. And My grace will flow like a mountain spring that feeds into a great river. Don’t fear the darkness, the noise, the anarchy and confusion. My light, My dawn will break out in the midst of it, and it will rise upon you. It will rise upon you. It will rise upon YOU. Yours is to obey. Remain in truth. Stand firm.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord, thank You that You have provided for us in darkness. You have made a way for us in dark times to not even be touched by the effects of the darkness. Help us to walk by faith. Help us to live in Your love and grace. Help us to rise above it, to stay above it. We want to see the light of Your glory dawning, breaking through and changing everything. We want to be among those upon whom Your light dawns. We want to be those who are revealed to all of creation as Your sons and daughters.
- Declare, the Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. His Kingdom is unshakeable. His ways are unfathomable, and He is moving to rescue us once again.
- Decree, I will not be moved or shaken. I will rise above the darkness, confusion and chaos, and I will operate freely in the space the Lord has called me to be. I will witness and be part of the days of great turnaround and overturning, resurrection and revelation. I will see the truth stand firmly established and immovable in the Earth.
