Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 28
5 In that day the Lord of hosts will become a beautiful crown
Isaiah 28:5-6, 14-16
And a glorious diadem to the remnant of His people;
6 A spirit of justice for him who sits in judgment,
A strength to those who repel the [g]onslaught at the gate.
14 Therefore, hear the word of the Lord, O scoffers,
Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem,
15 Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death,
And with [k]Sheol we have made a [l]pact.
The overwhelming [m]scourge will not reach us when it passes by,
For we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.”
16 Therefore thus says the Lord [n]God, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone,
A costly cornerstone for the foundation, [o]firmly placed.
He who believes in it will not be [p]disturbed.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
My Spirit is hovering over the water, hovering over the deep. I’m hovering over the shallow parts too. My glory is hovering over the Earth. My glory is kissing the waters, the land, the creatures and the people. My glory is rushing in like a violent unexpected wind. But from inside My glory you only sense peace, you only sense Presence, you only sense love. Those operating outside of My glory will feel a sense of terror, will experience the panic of the unknown as the One who knows all and sees all approaches. They will be stricken by the overwhelming fear of the Lord. I Am moving in a fear of the Lord movement. I Am seizing men and women who have never been apprehended. I Am seizing men and women who operated as they knew best, as they thought best and as they pleased. I Am seizing them, and dropping them to their knees. They will know that I Am the Living God of Israel. They will know that I Am the King of kings and the Lord of lords. They will know that the only name by which men can be saved is Jesus.
17 “I will make justice the measuring line
Isaiah 28:17-22
And righteousness the level;
Then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies
And the waters will overflow the secret place.
18 “Your covenant with death will be [q]canceled,
And your pact with Sheol will not stand;
When the overwhelming scourge passes through,
Then you become its trampling place.
19 “As often as it passes through, it will [r]seize you;
For morning after morning it will pass through, anytime during the day or night,
And it will be [s]sheer terror to understand [t]what it means.”
20 The bed is too short on which to stretch out,
And the blanket is too [u]small to wrap oneself in.
21 For the Lord will rise up as at Mount Perazim,
He will be stirred up as in the valley of Gibeon,
To do His task, His [v]unusual task,
And to work His work, His [w]extraordinary work.
22 And now do not carry on as scoffers,
Or your fetters will be made stronger;
For I have heard from the Lord [x]God of hosts
Of decisive destruction on all the earth.
A powerful wind of the Spirit is blowing in, a gale force wind that catches many off-guard and takes their breath away. I Am stirring, shaking men and women out of their waking slumber, out of their malaise, out their mindless comfortable meaningless existence. I Am stirring them to truth, to alertness and to vibrant, sparkling, unapologetic life. First they must bow. First they must be apprehended by the loving and powerful Hand of the God who saves, who raises the dead and births into new dazzling life. I will arrest hearts and shock minds with the reality of spirit life in Me, with the reality of truth, with the reality of the spirit life being more real, more active, more lasting than what they can touch, feel, taste, hear or smell.
23 Give ear and hear my voice,
Isaiah 28:23-29
Listen and hear my words.
24 Does the [y]farmer plow [z]continually to plant seed?
Does he continually[aa]turn and harrow the ground?
25 Does he not level its surface
And sow dill and scatter cummin
And [ab]plant wheat in rows,
Barley in its place and rye within its [ac]area?
26 For his God instructs and teaches him properly.
27 For dill is not threshed with a threshing sledge,
Nor is the cartwheel [ad]driven over cummin;
But dill is beaten out with a rod, and cummin with a club.
28 Grain for bread is crushed,
Indeed, he does not continue to thresh it forever.
Because the wheel of his cart and his horses eventually[ae]damage it,
He does not thresh it longer.
29 This also comes from the Lord of hosts,
Who has made His counsel wonderful and His wisdom great.
This is the awakening. It will come as a great jolt. It will come as a whirlwind. It will come with the feeling of terror and a panic attack, and it will drop many to their knees in wonder, in awe, in terror and in the fear of the Lord. And they shall be saved. They shall be saved. I will ride My victory clouds and march through the streets of gold. I will celebrate the great victories, because many lost sheep will have been apprehended. Many lost sheep will turn in a single day, in a single event and be changed forever. This event, this seizure, this whirlwind, this terror that I bring will kickoff the great turnaround. It will change the trajectory and realign the destiny of nations with My heart and My ways. The shaking will be sudden and very abrupt. But those who are covered in My glory will experience only peace, only love, only the awe of Me as those who do not yet know Me experience terror. Yet they will know Me still.
How to Respond
- Keep your life hidden in the Lord. Don’t stray from Him or the refuge He provides.
- Pray, Lord, thank You for coming with a great awakening event for those who are lost, deceived and can’t fathom the reality of the spirit realm. Thank You for covering us with Your glory and keeping us in perfect peace whose eyes are staid on You. Thank You for shaking many prodigals and many who have never known You from their meaningless existence into the fear of the Lord, into repentance, new life and into purpose and destiny. Thank You for doing this for not only people but for America, Israel and the nations of the world.
- Declare, the glory of the Lord will come in as a mighty rushing wind to disturb, to stir, to shake and to bring the terror that can only be described as the fear of the Lord. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.
- Decree, I will not fear or be shaken off balance as the glory of the Lord arrives in power. King Jesus is mighty to save even those who seem farthest and most unreachable. The fear of the Lord will arrest and apprehend many, and the spirit realm will become more real than the physical realm. I will join the Lord in a victory celebration as He apprehends many, many lost sheep and restores them to true identity and to a meaningful Kingdom destiny. The Lord will change the trajectory of the nations in a single day.
