Today’s Reading:
Deuteronomy 11
Psalm 18
Psalm 32
You shall therefore keep every commandment which I am commanding you today, so that you may be strong and go in and possess the land into which you are about to cross to possess it; so that you may prolong your days on the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey. For the land, into which you are entering to possess it, is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, where you used to sow your seed and water it with your foot like a vegetable garden. But the land into which you are about to cross to possess it, a land of hills and valleys, drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning even to the end of the year.
Deuteronomy 11:8-12 NASB1995
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
You have reached the shoreline of destiny, and it’s time to walk out into the water. It’s time to come with nothing in your hands, nothing weighing you down. And it’s time to wade out into the deep. The shoreline of destiny is just the beginning. Soon you will be swimming in a vast, wide open space in which you cannot be contained. This is the ocean of opportunity where I Am calling you out — to come into the deep. Come to the places where you have no sense of how deep it is or how far from shore you are. For all intents and purposes this deep place is the point of no return. If you wanted to turn back, you would not even be able to formulate a plan to get there.
His love broke open the way, and he brought me into a beautiful, broad place. He rescued me—because his delight is in me!
Psalms 18:19 TPT
Once you leave that shore, you will have left it behind forever, but I have strengthened you for the ocean. I have equipped you for the vastness of this massive opportunity. At times you may feel like it will overwhelm you, you may feel as if you are all alone in this overwhelming vast place, and you cannot touch solid ground. But the saltiness within you will do its work keeping you afloat. And I will have countless helpers within arm’s reach teeming all around you. You will not falter, and you will not fail. You will not drown. You will become strong in this new environment. You will have the strength of a titan of the sea, because I have equipped you, I have prepared you, and because you were made for this.
I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!”
Psalms 32:8-9 TPT
As I draw you out into this deep ocean of opportunity, don’t desire the shoreline. Don’t be tempted to look back or swim back to the place where you were safe and your feet could stay on the ground. I’m calling you out into a place of endless possibility, and I will strengthen you there. I will cause you to rise up masterfully there, and I will bring provision and help for you there. So don’t linger here on the shoreline. It’s time to wade out into this great, vast, seemingly unending opportunity.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord, and don’t let fear hold you back from a God given opportunity.
- Pray, Holy Spirit lead me out. Help me to wade out with Your guidance and Your instruction. I don’t want to be one who gets to the shoreline that I have been waiting to see and then camps out there. I want to be one who runs boldly into the great opportunity You bring, so I can do my part in Your purposes for this time in the Earth.
- Declare, The Lord knows the plans He has for me, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give me a future and a hope. – adapted from Jeremiah 29:11
- Decree, I will trust the guiding of the Lord. I will not hesitate when He calls me out into the water. I will not camp out at the shoreline of destiny. I will move boldly forward into the deep waters of the opportunity the Lord brings, and I will lean on the Lord to teach me how to operate in this completely new place where nothing is familiar. He will strengthen me and cause me to rise up as one who rules and leads well in this place.
