Today’s Reading:
Psalm 119
Psalm 139
You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me! This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength.
Psalms 139:3-6 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Grace is in the middle. Grace is in the between, in the transition. My grace is enabling a smooth transition. Things have been one way, and soon they will be another. But My grace is here for an effortless, unfumbled transition. You will continue in this race. It will just be a new leg, and you will hold a new position. At this point of the race you are now an established athlete, an established runner — secure, confident and capable. You are equipped for the race ahead and understand what is required to win.
I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your ordinances before me. I cling to Your testimonies; O Lord, do not put me to shame! I shall run the way of Your commandments, For You will enlarge my heart.
Psalms 119:30-32 NASB1995
The race thus far has not been easy. It has been winding and has included re-routes. It has taken some detours, and you have felt the bottom of some potholes, but your feet are now on an established track, a smooth prepared track on which to run. The race ahead is not easy; but you will have the grace to run, and the road will be sure. The path will be clear, and the wind of My Spirit is at your back. You will relish in this run. You have trained for it, and the moment has come for the handoff, the transition into this completely different leg of the race.
The Lord is my portion; I have promised to keep Your words. I sought Your favor with all my heart; Be gracious to me according to Your word. I considered my ways And turned my feet to Your testimonies. May those who fear You see me and be glad, Because I wait for Your word.
Psalms 119:57-59, 74 NASB1995
Spectators will cheer as My grace gives you a beautiful flawless transition from this course you have been running, the leg you have been running into this new beautifully prepared, well-established leg of the race. I have provided the ones who will also coach you in this transition and stay with you well into the next leg of the race. The new is here.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for preparing me for the next leg of this race — whatever that looks like. Thank You for laying out and establishing a clear path for me to run and for providing coaches who will help me to make this transition smoothly and beautifully — without stumbling.
- Declare, the Lord has established the path for my future long before He made me. Before I was born, all of my days were written in His book.
- Decree, I will run the race the Lord has set out before me. He has equipped me for the new leg of this race, and He has given me grace to make a smooth transition. I will not stumble, falter or hesitate. I will move forward at top speed in His grace.
