And Jesus, our sin-sacrifice, also suffered death outside the city walls to make us holy by his own blood. So we must arise and join him outside the religious “walls” and bear his disgrace. For we have no city here on earth to be our permanent home, but we seek the city that is destined to come.
Hebrews 13:12-14 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I Am bringing heat to My messengers of fire. I Am turning up the heat in their hearts, and the heat in their hearts will raise the volume of their message. Watch for an explosion onto the scene of My messengers of fire. This is the moment, this is the cue for My John the Baptist types to enter the scene. This is the time for My unlikely ones, My wild and wooly ones who have been secluded from religious life and have had to make a way for themselves, have had to chart a path to My heart, have had to learn how to draw near to me outside of religious indoctrination and influence. This is the time of the wilderness preachers arising. They have no religious trappings. They have no religious leanings. They have My Word, and they preach the pure and simple message of Christ’s Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven.
John announced the truth about him when he taught the people, “He’s the One! He’s the One I’ve been telling you would come after me, even though he ranks far above me, because he existed before I was even born.” And from the overflow of his fullness we received grace heaped upon more grace!
John 1:15-16 TPT
These are holy days of My Word carpeting the Earth, covering the Earth in a way that it has not been covered before. It’s coming in power, but it is also coming in gentleness, in humility and through lips that are moved by My peace. These lips speak peace, because they have warred and won. They have overcome demons in the desert. They have wrestled in the spirit, and they have conquered. They have the victory that allows their lips to speak peace, because they know what it is to war. They know war is often required to achieve peace. They are no strangers to war in the spirit. They are not pacifists in the spirit. They are warriors who have warred and won in order to gain peace. These are doers of My Word and not hearers only. These are ones who hear My voice in their ear saying this is the way, walk in it. And they are quick to obey, because they have been anticipating and asking to hear my voice. They desire to move with the impulses of My Spirit. That place of unscripted, uncertain terrain is the place they love to live. It’s the place they’ve learned to dwell. They live as the minutemen did, ready to pick up at a moment’s notice and go to war or address a wound or speak a word of life and hope. These are the ones who know what it is to take down giants. They know what it is to take down demonic strongholds, because they have leaned in, because they have participated with My Spirit and engaged and cooperated with the angelic to dismantle evil.
John answered them, “I am an urgent, thunderous voice crying out in the desert—clear the way and prepare your hearts for the coming of the Lord Yahweh!”
John 1:23 TPT
This is the time and the day of the wilderness preachers, the ministers of fire arising and coming onto the scene. They won’t dwell alone in the wilderness any longer. They will come into the streets, into the marketplace, into the airwaves, onto the TV screens, and they will speak the full truth in My Name. And the world will never be the same. Hearts will never be the same. Their words will powerfully plant many seeds into individual hearts, and each soul will reap a great harvest.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for those You have been preparing in desert. Thank You for the price they’ve paid to seek Your face without the trappings of religion. Thank You for teaching them directly how to war, how to use Your Word and how to obey Your voice. Help me to heed the messages You’ve given them, and help me not to judge appearance or delivery style. I want to be one who is moved by the hearts of those who love You. Help me to be a doer of Your Word and not a hearer only.
- Declare, A person cannot receive even one thing unless God bestows it. He is the Bridegroom, and the bride belongs to him. I am the friend of the Bridegroom who stands nearby and listens with great joy to the Bridegroom’s voice. Because of his words, my joy is complete and overflows! It is necessary for him to increase and for me to decrease. — John 3:27-30 TPT
- Decree, This is the time of the release of the John the Baptist types who have been tried, tested and refined in the wilderness. They are skilled warriors in the spirit realm. They can speak the words of peace, because they have warred and conquered in pursuit of peace. The Lord is releasing them onto the scene, and His words in their mouth will carpet the Earth with the knowledge of the Lord. They will preach the message of the pure and simple Gospel of Christ’s Kingdom — on Earth as it is in Heaven, and each soul their message touches will reap an exponential harvest.
