Isaiah 60

Lift up your eyes round about and see; they all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from afar, and your daughters will be carried in the arms. Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and rejoice; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, the wealth of the nations will come to you.

Isaiah 60:4-5

The Lord is Moving on the Stagnant Church

The Lord says,
I’m fishing in stagnant water. I’m fishing in the stale church. I’m fishing amongst those who think they know Me, who claim to know Me, who genuinely believe they know Me – yet they have not established a relationship and communion with Me. I Am fishing for those who have grown cold. I Am fishing for those who have gone astray. I’m fishing in the place where My Spirit may be talked about but has not moved, because My Spirit has not actually been invited or welcomed. I Am fishing in these stagnant places, and as I make My catches these formerly stale ones, dead inside ones, wandering ones, these blind ones, these hurting ones, the ones who have been dwelling in bitterness or anger or sorrow, heartbreak, lack, self-sufficiency, pride, religion or within the confines of self-imposed, social or familial expectations, these I Am catching. And as soon as they accept My hook, My invitation, they are aflame with passion for Me.

These stagnant ones, these Christians in name only, these wanderers, these gossips, these double-minded, and two-faced ones are experiencing immediate transformations through a powerful encounter with Jesus and the fire of the Holy Ghost that falls upon them. These will be unrecognizable. These will have to introduce themselves to people from their former lives, because they will simply be so changed that family, friends and associates will not recognize them. These I Am making into explosive, highly flammable witnesses for Me. Their words, their testimony and their transformed lives will bear witness of My Hand and be powerful catalysts for revival, for drawing many to Jesus, for changing minds and hearts. People cannot argue with transformation. It will be so undeniable, so remarkable, that friends, family, spouses and business associates will be awestruck at the new person standing before them.

Explosive Growth and Change

The Lord says,
These changes will start off like sparklers used to light the next sparkler and the next. As the number of sparklers being lit grows and grows, the scene will give way to small fireworks and increasingly bigger fireworks until a great firework show of transformation, of salvation, of light and delight in Jesus breaks forth. It will be uncontainable, undeniable, and a beautiful awe-inspiring thing to watch. These new believers, these on-fire, passionate ones will light up the darkness and continue to make it lighter and brighter and brighter. It will be an explosive move of the Lord, and many will look on in childlike wonder with great delight, full of worship, reverence and joy.

Change is here, and change is near. This is a time of progressive and snowballing change, so don’t get too comfortable. Remain flexible. Stand firm in your faith, in truth, in ways and standards of honor, and in the Lord. Remain flexible in everything else.

How to Respond

  • Cultivate joy in your heart and in your countenance. Make thanksgiving a daily practice, so you can keep your focus on Jesus, on things above, and above circumstances and disappointments. You will see, and your heart will respond to what you spend time dwelling on and looking at, so be purposeful in what you meditate on.
  • Declare that the Lord is restoring families and communities and the very fabric of society.
  • If you are stale, stagnant, hurting, wandering, or spiritually alone, reach out to Jesus. Give Him permission to come in and transform your life.
  • Declare that revival is here, and it is growing in numbers, visibility, and power.
  • Declare that the transformative power of Jesus is here and available for you, your family, your church, city, state, nation and the world.
  • Declare that the Lord is moving, shaking and changing things all around us for His glory and for our good.
