Today’s Reading:
1 Thessalonians 5
Psalm 100
Luke 19

“After they brought the colt to Jesus, they placed their prayer shawls on its back, and Jesus rode it as he descended the Mount of Olives toward Jerusalem. As he rode toward the city, people spontaneously threw their prayer shawls like a carpet on the path in front of him. As soon as he got to the bottom of the Mount of Olives, the crowd of his followers shouted with a loud outburst of ecstatic joy over all the mighty wonders of power they had witnessed. They shouted over and over, “Highest praises to God for the one who comes as King in the name of the Lord! Heaven’s peace and glory from the highest realm now comes to us!” Some Jewish religious leaders who stood off from the procession said to Jesus, “Teacher, order your followers at once to stop saying these things!” Jesus responded, “Listen to me. If my followers were silenced, the very stones would break forth with praises!””

Luke‬ ‭19:35-40‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The Spirit of the Living God says,
Rejoice in Me. Rejoice in My Name. Rejoice in My Presence. Rejoice in all that I have done for You. I made you to be a happy people. You are a blessed people — a people blessed beyond measure. Rejoice. Rejoice. Enter My gates with thanksgiving, and enter My courts with praise. Be a glad people. Be a people who worships and rejoices, who celebrates and lives in continual thanks and praise. Why should you be quiet? Why should you be sad? If you don’t rejoice, if you don’t praise, if you don’t celebrate the goodness and sacrifice of Me, even the rocks will cry out.

“Lift up a great shout of joy to Yahweh! Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere! Worship Yahweh with gladness. Sing your way into his presence with joy! And realize what this really means— we have the privilege of worshiping Yahweh our God. For he is our Creator and we belong to him. We are the people of his pleasure. You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise. Come right into his presence with thanksgiving. Come bring your thank offering to him and affectionately bless his beautiful name! For Yahweh is always good and ready to receive you. He’s so loving that it will amaze you— so kind that it will astound you! And he is famous for his faithfulness toward all. Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation!”

Psalms‬ ‭100:1-5‬ ‭TPT‬

This is a day to rejoice. Have I not made My people to rejoice? Have I not made you to be people of perpetual praise? If you are not praising, you are not living. Respond to the cry of your heart. Worship is your heart’s cry. When you are not worshipping, your soul withers. Be glad in Me. Rejoice in Me. Make praise your continual feast. Be a celebrater. Be a rejoicer. Be one who cares not about looking foolish or upsetting apple carts. Yours is a duty, an instruction, a command of continual praise. Will the rocks cry out? Will the rocks sing My Name and My praise? You rejoice. You take pleasure and joy in Me. Rejoice, rejoice and again I say rejoice. Yours is a service of continual praise. Be lovers who live in love. Be a lover, a worshipper, a servant offering continual praise.

“Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus. Never restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit.”

1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-19‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Yours is a service of praise. Getting your praise up gets your hopes up. Lifting your eyes up lifts your head up. The service of worship feeds your soul. You were made for worship. You were made for praise. Don’t neglect this service and cause your own soul to wither. Be a lover whose offering is continual, ceaseless praise. Rejoice and be glad in it. Be one who celebrates freely, who worships openly and freely, who makes no apology for praising your Lord, your Savior, your God and your King. Be an instrument of perpetual praise. Raise your holy hands in worship to the God Most High. You were made to worship. Bring your continual offering of praise.

How to Respond

  • Purpose to live offering praise and thanksgiving and worship to the Lord Most High.
  • Pray, Lord I love You. You are the one who thought of me before time began, the one who created me with a purpose and knit me together in my mother’s womb. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. You have never left me or forsaken me, and You never will. You sacrificed everything — Your own life, Your own Son so that I might live. I will live in a posture and attitude of thanksgiving and praise. May the praises of my mouth and the meditations of my heart never cease being offered to You. You are amazing God
  • Declare, Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. He is worthy of all glory, all honor and all praise. His is the Name above every Name. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. He has created His people for praise.
  • Decree, I will worship the Lord with thanksgiving. I will be a worshipper whose song is one of continual praise. I will never stop praising the Lord for who He is — for His holiness, for His sacrifice and saving grace, for His rescue of me by defeating death and hell. I will never stop praising the Lord, because He is the reason I exist and breathe and live. In His presence is the fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. The Lord is worthy of my unceasing praise.
