Today’s Readings:
Deuteronomy 30
Psalm 25

3 Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed;
Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed.
4
Make me know Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
For You I wait all the day.
6 Remember, O Lord, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses,
For they have been from of old.
7 Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
According to Your lovingkindness remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.

Psalm 25:3-7

The Spirit of the Lord says,
The enemy is on the prowl, seeking whom he may devour. He is busy setting up traps, distractions and detours for My lovers and all people. Don’t get thrown off course. Don’t get baited into something less than what I have for you. Don’t get lured into the the trap that he has set. How can you tell the difference between his plots and wiles and My good plans? I will tell you My dear one.

His plots seem to come in the gray areas. My paths are alive with vibrant color. His offers will cause a check in your spirit. Mine sparkle, though they may startle; and My pleasure rests buoyantly on them. His plans seem to take you backwards, down old familiar paths, to comfortable once trodden places. My plans are adventures, are new, are bold. My plans may take you on new terrain in once familiar places, but they rarely take you down paths that you once trod in sin. My offers will not set you in places of old temptation. That is what the enemy does. The enemy loves to exploit areas of weakness or former failures. I desire to build you up and move you forward, toward Me, toward truth, toward wholeness, toward My glorious light.

8 Good and upright is the Lord;
Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
9 He leads the humble in justice,
And He teaches the humble His way.
10 All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and truth
To those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.

Psalm 25:8-10

Follow the path of My grace. It is always marked by beauty, by My love and with purity. It may be unexpected. It may be far afield from what you know or are comfortable with, but it will bring joy. It will be marked by peace and truth, and My Spirit will give you a weight of assurance that cannot be found outside of My will, My desire, My offer. What the enemy brings and offers or the traps he sets in the road in front of you are curiosities. They are opportunities to go backwards, to lower yourself and your standard, to speak unkindly, to take a cheap shot, to return to a dark place where he says you belong — never reminding you that you were miserable there because it was not of Me.

12 Who is the man who fears the Lord?
He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
13 His soul will abide in prosperity,
And his descendants will inherit the land.
14 The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him,
And He will make them know His covenant.
15 My eyes are continually toward the Lord,
For He will pluck my feet out of the net.

Psalm 25:12-15

The enemy is cruel. He is not leading you to happiness, fulfillment or truth. His aims are and always have been to steal, kill and destroy. He longs to separate you from love — from My love and from ones who truly love you. He delights in your pain, in your sin and your stumbling. Don’t give him an open door. Slam every open door, every access point he has to you — right in his pathetic face. Shut them through declarations of who I say you are. Shut them through a fervent commitment to forgiveness. Shut them through pursing emotional healing. Shut them through disciplined, unwavering communion with Me. Train yourself to hear My voice, to recognize My Presence, to rest in My grace. I Am the way, the truth and the life. He is the the thief, the murderer and the destroyer.

14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it. 15 “See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; 16 in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.17 But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it.

Deuteronomy 3-:14-18

Remember that what once was good may no longer be good for you. Your best interest may have moved on. What once seemed like a good and potential path may now be closed to you. You can’t rely on paths and people that used to be true, used to be open, used to be good. Everything changes, and time marches on. It is vital to hear My voice and get My now Rhema word, so that you can walk in light, in obedience, in My grace, My favor and in victory. I desire for you to walk in blessing and in truth. Leave behind those former ways, even if they served you at the time. Today is a new day. Seek Me first and all these things will be added unto you, My dearly loved one.

How to Respond

  • Set your life as an offering before the Lord. Ask Him to show you any areas where you are deceived by the enemy, where you are pursuing old ways that no longer serve, where you are relying on habit instead of His voice.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit come. Help me to see and deal with lies from the enemy that I am believing about myself, about You, about situations past and present. Help me to see the areas where I am living with open wounds. Help me to leave behind the mindsets and ways of operating that no longer serve me, and especially those that never truly served me from the start. Give me a vision for the sparkling, vibrant, Spirit-filled, Spirit-led life You have for me.
  • Declare, the Lord desires for me to walk in communion with Him — as a whole, healed and Spirit-filled believer who hears His voice and is not tempted or distracted by the snares of the enemy.
  • Decree, I will walk in communion with the Lord my God. I will reject the temptation, the lies, the hurts and the traps of the enemy. With the help of my God, I can see the enemy’s tactics a mile away, and I can see that they are very lame. I will walk in victory, in destiny, in the glory and the pleasure of the Lord. I will walk in perfect wholeness, with no false way or wound hindering me.
