Today’s Reading:
Ezekiel 37

9 Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life.”’” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.

Ezekiel 37:9-10

The Spirit of the Lord says,
Warriors who looked like they were slain in the desert, warriors whose bodies were left to bake in the desert sun, warriors whose names became a faint memory — I Am calling them back to startling life and directly into active duty. I Am resurrecting many warriors in the desert, and they will rise up to take their place in active duty. They will run out from this desert place into the land I have called them. There’s no surprise like a resurrection.

11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope has perished. We are completely cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel.

Ezekiel 37:11-12

Warriors coming back to life and running back into active duty will cause some to rub their eyes and cheer, will cause others to stand in awe, will cause yet others to tremble with fear as they try to cover up the fraud, the malfeasance, the lies and the lack of work accomplished in the ensuing time since they were party to slaying these warriors in the desert. Oh, the warriors are coming home. They are coming into offices they rightfully hold, and they are coming to confront — loud and clear. They will strike terror in the hearts of fools and thieves; and the fools and thieves who have wrongfully assumed the seats and offices of the warriors will be caught red handed. They will be unceremoniously thrown out of these offices and brought to jail.

21 Say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king will be king for all of them; and they will no longer be two nations and no longer be divided into two kingdoms. 23 They will no longer defile themselves with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. And they will be My people, and I will be their God.

Ezekiel 37:21-23

I Am speaking to My warriors who were slain in the desert, arise! This will be a great confounding and glorious day to behold, as these slain warriors rise up to take their rightful places. It will be confusing and glorious, and the righteous will work together to untangle the details and set things right. The righteous will greet these resurrected warriors as long lost brothers and sisters, as co-laborers and bearers of truth.

13 Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people. 14 I will put My Spirit within you and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken and done it,” declares the Lord.’”

Ezekiel 37:13-14

Truth is rising. Truth is being dispatched. And My warriors of truth who carry My grace are being resurrected in the desert. Great celebrations will break out. Spontaneous celebrations will greet the valiant, unexpected return of these once slain warriors. Worship will rise up in the hearts and from the mouths of many, because they will know that their prayers have been heard. They will taste and see that I Am indeed good. They will have no doubt that I, the Lord their God love them, hear them, know the deep longings of their hearts, and I have answered.

How to Respond

  • Pray, thank You Lord for being the One who sets things right. Thank You for not forgetting a single one of Your lovers, for never leaving nor forsaking us. Thank You that You are resurrecting situations that seem long lost and for placing people into the positions that have been stolen from them.
  • Declare, the Lord doesn’t miss a single thing. Nothing is beyond His reach, concern, ability, resources or timeline. He will cause truth, righteousness and justice to prevail.
  • Decree, I stand on the side of those with truth. I demand that justice, honor and righteousness prevail in my life, family, community, state and nation. All who have been stolen from will take their rightful positions. All who participated in stealing positions and offices will be removed; and many will be jailed. I will see justice.
