“All that matters now is living in the faith that is activated and brought to perfection by love.” Don’t you know that when you allow even a little lie into your heart, it can permeate your entire belief system? Deep in my heart I have faith that the Lord Jesus the Anointed One who lives in you, will bring you back around to truth…

Galatians 5:6b and 5:9-10a

Feelings Must Bow

The Lord says,
I’m moving in people’s hearts today. Their hearts are connected to their eyes. Their eyes see what their hearts believe and desire. I have told you that the heart is deceitful above all else (Jeremiah 17:9). There are many days, many instances when you should not trust your heart, your feelings. You can’t trust feelings, because feelings are not truth. Feelings are feelings. They can be moved and tossed by small events, large events and other people’s moods and spiritual conditions. Feelings can be manipulated. The truth cannot. I Am truth. And I cannot be manipulated or moved. Set your heart’s affections on Me, and what you feel and what you see will become more trustworthy, will become more solid, more stable, less movable. You are the master of your feelings.

Feelings are actually a choice. They are not some amorphous reality that you have no power over – that you are a slave to. Stand up. Lift your head. Put your shoulders back and recognize your authority over feelings. It has been said that feelings are a good servant and a terrible master. That is true. Make your feelings subject to truth. This is what self-discipline is. This is what discipline in your mind and your heart is. It’s putting truth as primary. It’s putting your goals, your destiny in Me above temporary and fleeting feelings. Feelings must bow, or you will bow. It’s your choice.

Take inspiration from men and women of conviction, who made great impact on the world. They harnessed their feelings and their passion to accomplish a goal – the key word being harnessed. They had feelings and passion, but they used them as fuel to achieve the end. Their feelings did not manipulate or drive the end. That leads to sure disaster.

It’s Time for Action

The Lord says,
I Am stirring hands and feet, men and women to action. We are leaving a season and a period of great complacency and frankly laziness, entitlement and arrogant apathy. This new season is one marked by action, activity and taking ground that has been ceded to or stolen by the enemy. I Am stirring action and dissatisfaction and righteous indignation in the hearts of men and women whose values and morals and vision will serve the people.

It is time for believers to get off of the bench and to do something. Do something that provides a solution, an answer, a help to the cause, the issue, the situation that I have placed in your heart. It is time to take ground, to advance, to fight and to win. Let me remind you that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty to take down strongholds. And there are many strongholds that need to fall. There are many situations that need to be conquered, and there are many evil causes that require defeat. Examine yourself. Identify your cause. Sit with Me, ask Me to guide you to a productive course of action. I will be faithful to guide you. It’s time to move.

I Am tilling the soil of a new day, of a new season. This season is fertile with opportunities, fertile with ideas, fertile with new relationships and new connections. I Am preparing the ground for the new season, the next season. You need to finish this one well. The mark of this season has been that of a sleeping and drowsy bride that has woken up. Many who are not yet in Me are also waking up. I Am calling the Church, My people, who have been equipped in this season to advance, to take action, to push forward to the breakthrough. I will bring the breakthrough. The breakthrough is the entrance to the next season – to a fresh season of new beginnings, of great change, of Spring, new life, fresh air, and freedom.

How to Respond

  • Sit with the Lord. Examine your feelings. Ask the Lord to show you how to put them into subjection under His will and yours. Ask Him to teach you how to become the master of your feelings.
  • Spend time in worship.
  • At the emergence of every negative thought, stop. And tell that thought what Jesus’s truth says. (I am fearfully and wonderfully made. They too are made in the image of God. A man should leave his mother and father and cling to his wife. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me….) Use the Word to war with negative thoughts, because negative thoughts are intrinsically linked to negative feelings and a negative emotional state. This is a strategy for overcoming and for gaining control of your thought life and by extension, your emotional life.
  • When you sit with the Lord, examine your heart. How is the Lord stirring you to take ground for the Kingdom in your community, office, society, or beyond?
  • Ask Him what productive action looks like in that area and what your first step should be. Then take it!
