Children of the Spirit
The Lord says,
Just as a sailboat floats on the water, and lifts its sails to glide, just as an eagle takes flight with one powerful flap of its wings, so is life in the Spirit. It is not a life of stress, anxiety, handwringing and running in circles. It is not a lifestyle of fretting. It is walking in security, confidence, authority and faith. It’s having certainty that the Lord is guiding you and He’s walking right beside you. Mentally, it’s a life of ease. In practice, the work of your hands is still work. The number of items on your to do list is still long, and the number of people who you connect with, speak life into, encourage, disciple and walk with is likely even longer. But life in the Spirit is one of mental and emotional ease. It’s one of freedom and creativity, where there’s lots of room in your mind and heart to hear from the Lord, because you have cultivated that space. You have purposefully cleared away the noise and clutter, and you have rid yourself of voices and influences that don’t speak life, don’t add value, don’t cherish and love the Lord Jesus. Those influences exist enough outside of your inner life and inner circle. To the best of your ability, don’t keep them in, don’t keep them around. Certainly don’t invite them.
I long for My people to not live lives of strife and stress. I long for them to walk in confidence and ease, in partnership with Me. This is possible when you are clear on Who I Am, who you are, and what you are called to – even if it’s just what you are called to in this season. I Am the God and inventor of liberty, and I want liberty and freedom to be marks of your life, to be obvious marks on your life to those around you. They will long for the kind of freedom you live in.
You are not beholden to men’s views, men’s opinions, men’s conventional thinking or ways of operating. You are a child of the Spirit. So much more is available to you. Shake off all that is hindering you, and fly.
Change is Near
The Lord says,
My troops will return home to pure freedom, to sure justice, to a cleansed land. The scars of battle will be on the land. But the adversaries will be wiped out. People will walk in freedom and in safety, without fear or hunger.
I am moving in a decisive way. I Am cleansing the land of the vulgar, of the filth, of the evil. And I am raising up purity and hope and modesty and true love again.
You will be amazed. I Am wiping the scales from eyes, restoring right thinking and open hearts and ears. People will see things very differently. Mindsets, the mindsets of many will be changed in an instant. Watch as I shift public opinion in a moment, in an instant.
How to Respond
- Be still, sit with the Lord. Ask Him to reveal Himself and His character to you in a fresh way.
- Ask Him to show you how He sees you. Sit still and listen. Write what you hear and see.
- Consider what external things/people you are allowing to cause undo stress, negativity and clutter in your life with little or no value return. How can you clear those things away to make more space for Jesus?
- Declare that the Lord has already won the battle that we are in.
- Declare that He can and will change hearts, minds, vision and hearing in an instant.
- Declare that we are entering a new day and a new season of purity, freedom and joy.
