Isaiah 54
Shout for joy, O barren one, you who have borne no child;
Isaiah 54:1-3
Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not travailed;
For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous
Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent;
Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not;
Lengthen your cords
And strengthen your pegs.
3 “For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left.
And your descendants will possess nations
And will resettle the desolate cities.
The Lord says,
You have been working very hard for little return in this dry place. You have made deep — bone deep, soul deep — efforts and only reaped morsels small enough to fit inside of your right hand. You have sown in tears, and you have reaped in tears. You have felt the weight of lack, of getting by, of never seeming to advance. It has felt like pushing a boulder up hill. You can have success in doing it, but when you arrive, it is hollow, meaningless and has gotten you little. But My East wind is blowing. My wind of favor, of life, of blessing is blowing. My spring rain of refreshing is breaking through the clouds, and it is changing the climate and the landscape. Where there was dryness, parched ground and stiff soil, now there will be life budding up to the surface from beneath the ground. There will be rich, black nutrient-dense soil, and there will be a great refreshing from the wind of favor, grace and ease.
4 “Fear not, for you will not be put to shame;
Isaiah 54:4-5
And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced;
But you will forget the shame of your youth,
And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.
5 “For your husband is your Maker,
Whose name is the Lord of hosts;
And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel,
Who is called the God of all the earth.
Where you have toiled, labored, pushed and sweat with tears, and as you have reaped only enough to get by — also in tears but with a heart still filled with thanksgiving, a heart still filled with faithfulness, gratitude and humility, I Am moving now to bring a tidal wave of blessing. I Am bringing blessing that will overwhelm, overtake, overcome and overfill. The blessing of my favor will come unexpectedly, and it will surge into your life with great power and decisiveness. Once it surges and overtakes you, IT SHALL NOT RECEED. You will find yourself chest deep swimming in abundance, in blessing, in health, in vitality that you could have never imagined. You say, “maybe my tide is coming in.” I say no — MY tidal wave of abundance, blessing, prosperity and ecstatic joy is coming in, and IT WILL NOT RECEED.
11 “O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted,
Isaiah 54:11-13
Behold, I will set your stones in antimony,
And your foundations I will lay in sapphires.
12 “Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies,
And your gates of crystal,
And your entire wall of precious stones.
13 “All your sons will be taught of the Lord;
And the well-being of your sons will be great.
You will have to learn to swim, operate and move in this level of blessing. It will be very disorienting to come into this sustained high tide of blessing from the dry wilderness, but you are equipped. I have even equipped you for this in the dry desert place. I have equipped you to manage yourself well in the drought. In that dry place you have made determinations and changes, and I have taught you things that will enable you to manage the abundance well, with grace, with humility, with generosity and with great abiding wisdom like Joseph did for Pharaoh and the Kingdom of Egypt in the seven years prior to the drought. But the beautiful and exciting thing is, there is not a drought prophesied after this blessing, after the bumper crop, after the overwhelming blessing that I Am bringing. What comes next is Kingdom building. What comes next is greater days, greater things and magnificent achievements that man can only make in hand-in-hand, heart-to-heart partnership with Me, Your King. Prepare your storehouses, for I Am about to overwhelm them. Prepare your heart, Your mind, your accounts and your accounting. My tidal wave of blessing is coming, and IT SHALL NOT RECEED.
How to Respond
- Stir up joy, excitement, anticipation. Get your house in order and your processes and organizational systems in order, so you can be prepared to receive the Lord’s blessing.
- Pray, Lord, show me how to get my house in order. What would you have me to do to prepare for your tidal wave of blessing, grace, prosperity and favor?
- Declare, the days of sowing in tears and reaping in tears are done. The Lord is walking with us into new days of surprising, overwhelming, outrageous blessing that is more than our current setups can contain. He will give us wisdom and grace to manage this new reality well, because it is not temporary. This level of blessing and prosperity is coming to stay.
- Decree, I will get my house in order. I will watch, anticipate and expect the great and surprising, overwhelming blessing of the Lord for my life and family. I will operate in this unprecedented level of prosperity well, and I will live in thanksgiving, humility and great generosity — in partnership with the Lord My God.
