Today’s Readings:
Psalm 18
Psalm 103

6 In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried to my God for help;
He heard my voice out of His temple,
And my cry for help before Him came into His ears.

Psalm 18:6

The Lord says,
I Am the missing piece that you have been searching for. I Am the one that completes that picture for you. I Am that heart-to-heart connection your soul longs for. I Am that fortress, that refuge, that comfort and that shield that you have been longing for. It’s not yours to do all alone. You can. But it’s better together. It’s better in covenant. It’s better when I can carry your burdens and lighten your load. It’s better when it’s not all on you, not up to you. It’s better together with Me.

19 He brought me forth also into a broad place;
He rescued me, because He delighted in me.

Psalm 18:19

Stoke the fire of your desire, and watch Me show up to commune with you. Reach out your hand, and you will find Mine is already outstretched toward you. What are you waiting for My love? You don’t need to push through this life with gritted teeth, clenched fists and shoulders up to your ears. You can reach out, grab My already outstretched hand and find the change you have been needing but unable to attain on your own. You will find that My grace overshadows you, and You can walk in peace, filled with My joy, eager for the days ahead. Life is much more enjoyable with Me by your side, with Me having your back, with Me in your heart. It changes everything. I change everything.

13 Just as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.
14 For He Himself knows our frame;
He is mindful that we are but dust.

Psalm 103:13-14

Reach out your hand, and grab My already outstretched hand. You will find that together we can storm a troop; with Me, You can leap over a wall. Together will get you a lot farther than alone. And together with Me will take you to places you never dreamed.

Wavering one, weary one, wandering one, lonely one, reach out your hand, and take My already outstretched hand. I Am here. I Am for you. My desire is for you, to be with you, to dwell with you, to commune with you, to talk late into the night and early into the morning hours with you. Take My already outstretched hand. You need not do this alone. If I Am for you, and I Am, who or what can be against you? Lean into My chest. Take comfort in My arms. You don’t need to do this alone. Come weary one, come wavering one, come wandering one, come lonely one. Come My love. Come.

How to Respond

  • Get quiet and ask the Lord to bring His Presence to be whatever it is you need right now — comfort, peace, joy, energy, vision, breakthrough, salvation.
  • If you have been struggling to do part or all of life on your own, reach out to Jesus and ask for His help and His saving grace. (Read more about that here.)
  • Pray, Lord come. I need You to fill up the dry and empty places inside of me. I need Your encouragement, Your peace, Your breakthrough in my life today. Give me fresh vision for how to do life hand in hand with You.
  • Declare, the Lord is my strength and my shield, a very present help in times of trouble. The Lord is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. He has never, nor will He ever leave or forsake me. He is with me, and He is for me. With Him, all things are possible.
  • Decree, I am a well loved, doted on child of God.
    In the Lord I have nothing and no one to fear.
    I hear the voice of the Lord, and I obey it quickly, as His dearly loved child.
    I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
    I desire the Presence of the Lord above all else.
    Before I even reach out to Him, His hand is already waiting to grab ahold of mine.
