Today’s Reading:
Psalm 27
Matthew 22
John 15
Acts 2
“Here’s the one thing I crave from Yahweh, the one thing I seek above all else: I want to live with him every moment in his house, beholding the marvelous beauty of Yahweh, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace. I want to contemplate in his temple. Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you!”
Psalms 27:4, 14 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God says,
Dwell in My Presence. Draw near to My heart. Come into the inner courts of the place where My Presence dwells. Set your life up in the sanctuary of My blessing and grace. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. As you entwine your life with Mine, you will find that you are dwelling in the place where My glory is. You are residing in the sanctuary of My blessing and peace — the place from which My favor and grace flow. Draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you. Step out of the limelight and into the hidden place of My sanctuary. When it’s all about Me and not about you, that’s when My glory falls. That’s when My favor and grace is multiplied.
““Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” Jesus answered him, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, and with every thought that is within you.’ This is the great and supreme commandment. And the second is like it in importance: ‘You must love your friend in the same way you love yourself.’ Contained within these commandments to love you will find all the meaning of the Law and the Prophets.””
Matthew 22:36-40 TPT
I honor obedience over sacrifice. Obedience is continually pushing the old self, the old ways, the old preferences aside to align yourself with My Word and My instruction. As you prefer others over yourself, as you refuse the selfish desires of your old ways and the heart that cries out in self-promotion and instead exalt Your King, instead prefer your brother — the explosion of My glory will come. You will see the explosive power of My glory as you prefer Me, choose Me and love your neighbor as yourself. That wasn’t a pretty saying. They are the two commandments upon which all of the law and prophets were built. These foundational truths, laws, principles when followed and treasured set the stage for miracles and explosive power. These set the conditions for where My glory will fall in explosive power.
“Every believer was faithfully devoted to following the teachings of the apostles. Their hearts were mutually linked to one another, sharing communion and coming together regularly for prayer. A deep sense of holy awe swept over everyone, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. All the believers were in fellowship as one body, and they shared with one another whatever they had.”
Acts 2:42-44 TPT
Refuse self. Put your preferences on the back burner to serve your neighbor, your brother, your family, your friend and watch the power and pleasure of Mine that blossoms with explosive power within you. Treasure Me. Honor Me. Seek Me, and hide yourself in Me. Seek Me, and you will find me. Knock and the door will be opened unto you. Love your neighbor as yourself. When these two commandments are prized and followed, by one and then another and then another in unity, this is the way and the place and the conditions in which My glory will fall in explosive, intense, wild fire. Love Me. Seek Me. Hide yourself in Me, and serve one another in love. Those are the ingredients for glory fire, miracles and change. Those ignite My power within you.
““I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts. If you keep my commands, you will live in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands, for I continually live nourished and empowered by his love. My purpose for telling you these things is so that the joy that I experience will fill your hearts with overflowing gladness! “So this is my command: Love each other deeply, as much as I have loved you. For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends.”
John 15:9-13 TPT
How to Respond
- Submit your life fully to the Lord and include your preferences with that offering.
- Pray, Holy Spirit help me. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Help me to prefer others above myself. Help me to serve others in love without grumbling or complaining. I want to be in the place where Your glory dwells and moves in explosive power. Help me to be one who meets the conditions for that Lord. Help me to be a pure vessel through whom Your explosive and miraculous power can flow.
- Declare, the Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Who can fathom the mind of the Lord? Who can claim to be His advisor? All that exists originates in Him, comes through Him, and is moving toward Him; so give Him the glory forever.
- Decree, I will love the Lord my God with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. I will love my neighbor as myself. My greatest desire is to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. I will exalt Him above all. He will be magnified in me, so those who see me will see more of Him and less of me.
