Today’s Reading:
Psalm 55-57
4 My heart is in anguish within me,
Psalm 55:4-8
And the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
5 Fear and trembling come upon me,
And horror has overwhelmed me.
6 I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest.
7 “Behold, I would wander far away,
I would lodge in the wilderness. Selah.
8 “I would hasten to my place of refuge
From the stormy wind and tempest.”
The Spirit of the Lord says,
These are days of change and turning. We are in a great turn. We are in a tight squeeze of a turn, and you are feeling the pressure, the force and the weight of the push to get through this tight turn. It’s a turning of time. It’s a turning loose. You have been in this tight and narrow place where your movements were very restricted, and now you are in the final turn that will result in you being loosed. In a turn you begin by facing one way but end up facing a different direction. In a blind turn, like the one you are in, you can’t see where you will end, where you will land. This is for a purpose. I am doing some final work on you in this last turn. Hold on through the pressure, the discomfort and the pain. I am doing something, and I will push you out into freedom. This is a time for submission. Give Me permission to do open heart surgery in this hidden place. Stay submitted. This is an okay time to position yourself as a rag doll in total submission, giving Me full permission to move you as I will. Hang on. This is the final push.
10 In God, whose word I praise,
Psalm 56:10-13
In the Lord, whose word I praise,
11 In God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
12 Your vows are binding upon me, O God;
I will render thank offerings to You.
13 For You have delivered my soul from death,
Indeed my feet from stumbling,
So that I may walk before God
In the light of the living.
Hold on loosely, and let Me do My work. I Am changing the entire scene. I Am changing the ground beneath your feet and all that you see in front of you. Hold on loosely, so that you don’t succumb to the friction of the change. View it like the changing landscape on a moving train. You are standing still, but everything around you is changing. I Am doing that. I Am changing the scene. I need you to hold on loosely but stay planted. Stay planted in the place I have called you, even as the landscape changes around you, even as the scene completely changes by the second. Soon the change will slow, the train will slow and the doors to a new day, a new place and a new way will open. I Am taking you to a place you have never been, to a place that you won’t recognize, where things look different, operate differently and are structured differently. I Am taking you to a completely unfamiliar place. It will be disorienting and puzzling at first; but as you walk around and explore this new place, you will see that it is indeed the old world, flipped right side up.
I Am flipping the world right side up. I Am putting things in their rightful place, their rightful order, their rightful sequence, and it will take you a little while to feel steady here. You will wobble as if still at sea, and your eyes will feel some pain as they adjust to true light. I Am moving you from this upside down world cloaked in darkness to a right side up world bathed in My glorious light. Take one step and then the next. Don’t resist the change. That will only make things difficult for you. Change is guaranteed, marked out and determined. You must walk into it, and you must walk in it. Your stomach will do flips as you walk into this new right side up world. Your heart will flutter with excitement when the recognition of what has taken place hits you.
22 Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you;
Psalm 55:22
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
You are not walking alone. I Am with you. Imagine being on a rollercoaster and stepping off at the highest point, while hanging upside down. Imagine disembarking from the ride at that point. That is the sensation and the picture of what I Am doing. It will be very disorienting. It will be unfamiliar and even a bit scary, but I will cause the road to rise up to meet you. You will not fall into the abyss. You are simply arriving to a new time and a right side up world that you have only dreamed about — for which you have prayed, decreed and contented. You have seen this place in your heart, but you have not yet seen it with your eyes.
We will soon be disembarking into a right side up world. I Am turning things around. Hold on. But hold on loosely. Change is incoming. I Am your security, your safety belt. I will hold you in place until it is time to move. Wait on Me. You will see this changed, perfected habitation, this strange old new land. You will walk in freedom here.
How to Respond
- Submit your heart, your life and your position to the Lord. Give Him permission to make any changes He deems necessary, and give Him permission to move you as He wills.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Thank You for doing the impossible and turning this upside down world right side up. Help me to be one who perceives it and who cheers and celebrates at the turning. Help me to be one who runs at your signal into this unfamiliar place — this changed and perfected place — that is the world I once knew but as you intended it to be. Help me to be a blessing and a delight to you in it.
- Declare, the Lord is changing the landscape before our eyes. He is turning things around, and He is turning the world right side up.
- Decree, I will hold on loosely to the world as I know it. I will move at the Lord’s instruction, and I will delight, celebrate, thrill and rejoice as I disembark into the right side up world that the Lord is turning for us. He is turning it back to original intent, back to original design and back to a place that is marked by freedom.
