Today’s Reading:
Psalm 91
91 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Psalm 91:1-2
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”
The Lord says,
My grace is here. My comfort is here. My encouragement for truth and boldness is here. Look up child. Feel My love shining on you, warming your face and bringing light to your eyes. Trust in Me to walk with you down this rocky path. No one said it would be easy to take this road less traveled, to be a pioneer, to be a warrior and a beacon of truth. My grace is here. It is on you, and it will empower you to do the work I have put in your hands and the assignments I call you to along the way.
9 For you have made the Lord, my refuge,
Psalm 91:9-10
Even the Most High, your dwelling place.
10 No evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your tent.
My grace is here to enable you, empower you and supernaturally charge you with the ability to get the job done, to finish this race and to cross the line in victory. Keep your eyes on Me. Keep your heart attuned to Mine. My grace and My peace are here. Allow them to bolster you. Allow them to guide you. Allow them to mark your life, so those who know you recognize that you carry the grace of the Lord and that you operate in incredible peace. These are My gifts to you. They will cut through the haze and confusion, and the perfect light of My truth will guide the way.
3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
Psalm 91:3-4
And from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
I will lead you into all truth. Worship as you go. Encourage and strengthen yourself in Me. This rocky wilderness path is dry, but you aren’t walking it alone. I Am with you, and a remnant of warrior lovers are on this path as well. Though the trail ahead is unclear and the path is covered in darkness, the Light of World is with you. Whom or what shall you fear?
11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
Psalm 91:11-12
To guard you in all your ways.
12 They will bear you up in their hands,
That you do not strike your foot against a stone.
Rejoice. Live from a place of overcoming, of victory with My beautiful grace covering your life. Choose joy. Choose laughter. Choose singing, dancing, celebrating and enjoying!
7 A thousand may fall at your side
Psalm 91:7-8
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But it shall not approach you.
8 You will only look on with your eyes
And see the recompense of the wicked.
Justice for the wicked is coming. My gavel will bang with finality on the lives of the wicked. Those who have been the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod will meet My justice. Those who have raised themselves up as kings and leaders of wickedness will face My justice. Let them state their case against Me. Let them mount their defense. The verdict is already determined. The evidence is irrefutable. It is an open and shut case.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord. Put your life and your heart in His hands.
- Choose to worship and pursue the Lord amidst opposition and on the rocky wilderness road that is not permitting you to see what lies ahead.
- Pray, Lord, strengthen and encourage me with Your love, light, truth and Presence. Thank You for the grace that You continue to pour out on my life. Help me to persevere, even in this dark place.
- Declare, the Lord has positioned us for victory, and we will not be disappointed.
- Decree, I am a warrior-lover of the Lord. I am a pioneer and a trail blazer. I am steadfastly anchored in the Lord and in His Word. I will not be moved off of His promises to me. The Lord will bring swift and decisive justice to the wicked – to those who are spreading evil ideas and work and to those who have raised themselves up in defiance of the Living God. We will see justice in our day.
