Today’s Reading:
Psalm 5
”I know that you, God, are never pleased with lawlessness, and evil ones will never be invited into your house. Boasters collapse, unable to survive your scrutiny, for your hatred of evildoers is clear. You will make an end of all those who lie. How you hate their hypocrisy and despise all who love violence!“
Psalms 5:4-6 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God says,
A truth mentality is coming. Truth in media is coming. The Jezebel, Haman and Herod spirits will be evicted from media. The false prophets of Baal will be evicted from the media. The people will no longer tolerate lies and fiction and even sweet half-truths that tickle their ears. The people will want meat. The people will want the truth. The people will want the Word. It will be like a new day of maturity has arrived, and the people will now be the proverbial grown-ups in the room. They will hunger and thirst for righteousness. They will want the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and they will remove anyone who tries to use their position of influence to peddle a lie.
”Their words are unreliable. Destruction is in their hearts, drawing people into their darkness with their speeches. They are smooth-tongued deceivers, flattering with their words. Declare them guilty, O God! Let their own schemes be their downfall! Let the guilt of their sins collapse on top of them, for they rebel against you.“
Psalms 5:9-10 TPT
The tolerance of the people will shift ferociously. The tolerance of the people will no longer be for what is unclean, what is perverted, for what is immoral, easy and untrue. The tolerance of the people for vulgarity and immorality and the perpetuating of this from seats of influence in media and politics will snap like a thinned thread. And they will roar like ferocious hungry lions. The people will be the driving force for the removal of liars from the media and from seats of political power. The people will simply no longer tolerate it. A day is coming when the tolerance level for lies, for mocking truth, for propaganda, for influence campaigns of evil will completely run out. It will be shot, and that long thread of tolerance will snap. Woe to the ones who have been peddling lies, whose influence has been used to propagate and spread lies. Woe to those who mock and malign the truth, because the ones who have been force-fed all of these lies will turn on the liars like a pack of rabid dogs. Their appetite for lies will be completely through, and they will only accept, only desire, only tolerate a steady, meaty meal of the truth. Those who are not prepared to speak the truth will quickly move out of their seats in fear.
”But let them all be glad, those who turn aside to hide themselves in you. May they keep shouting for joy forever! Overshadow them in your presence as they sing and rejoice. Then every lover of your name will burst forth with endless joy. Lord, how wonderfully you bless the righteous. Your favor wraps around each one and covers them under your canopy of kindness and joy.“
Psalms 5:11-12 TPT
Those who have tired of propaganda and being part of the regime of liars will breathe a sigh of relief and finally open their mouths to speak the truth. This will bring great peace to their own hearts and minds, and it will create a hungry, grateful audience. The liars will be run out of their seats. Those who cannot or will not tell the truth will be run out of their chairs, offices and positions, and it will seem as if they are being chased down by angered bears, by wild dogs and by roaring lions. They will skedaddle right out of town, and room for truth to blossom, move and spread will have been made. Truth is waiting in the wings for the tolerance of lies and liars to come to an end.
How to Respond
- Align with truth, and ask the Lord to help you more keenly discern truth from lies and propaganda.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Do Your great work of removing the people’s tolerance of and appetite for lies. Stir up a hunger and a great desire for truth in all aspects of life. Cause the people to roar with a great, unsatisfied hunger for the truth. Cause the tolerance for lies to completely run out, so the people chase out the lies and the liars to make tremendous room for the meaty, authentic truth.
- Declare, truth is waiting in the wings, for the hunger of the people. The Lord will cause a great dissatisfaction with lies, propaganda and mocking of truth to fall upon the people. He is causing it to become very distasteful to the people, and they are losing their appetite for it. They will rise up in great anger and disgust at the lies and propaganda, and they will run the liars out of town as they roar in hunger for truth.
- Decree, I will see the people’s hearts and hunger turn from the desire for lies and propaganda to truth. Truth will become the great desire of the people, and the lies and the liars will not be able to withstand the hammering and roaring of the people for truth. I will see truth come in and reign in every place where the people have made room for it.
