Isaiah 59-60
Matthew 5
60 “Arise, shine; for your light has come,
Isaiah 60:1-3 NASB 1995
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
3 “Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.
The Spirit of the Living God says,
I’m shining a light in darkness, and you are that light. You are the light I have placed in darkness. It’s time to arise and shine. It’s time to be the bright light that I designed and tailor made you to be. You are to be a city on a hill. You are to be the bright light that guides the way and gives hope and comfort to those living in deep darkness. This is the time for My warrior lovers, My torch bearers to arise and shine. This is the time to be light in the darkness.
““Your lives are like salt among the people. But if you, like salt, become bland, how can your ‘saltiness’ be restored? Flavorless salt is good for nothing and will be thrown out and trampled on by others. “Your lives light up the world. For how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop? And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light. So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.””

Some feel as if they are suffocating in the darkness. Others feel as if they can’t tell which way is up and which way is down in this seemingly impenetrable inky deep darkness, but I have placed you strategically. I have placed you purposefully. You are right where you need to be, so shine. Stand up and boldly shine. Be a beacon of hope. Be the stability for those who can’t find their footing. Point them to Me. Point them to My saving grace. Light the path for them to walk directly into My arms.
This is a time of men and women groping along the wall looking for the way, looking for the path, trying to regain their bearings. But darkness, seemingly impenetrable darkness surrounds them, has silenced them and is trying to force them into deep slumber. You are the bright light I have put in their path, and you can point them to Me, the bright and morning star. This darkness is not unto death. It can be overcome. I have overcome the world, and I have given you all authority to overthrow darkness by the power of My great light inside of you.
10 We grope along the wall like blind men,
Isaiah 59:10-11 NASB 1995
We grope like those who have no eyes;
We stumble at midday as in the twilight,
Among those who are vigorous we are like dead men.
11 All of us growl like bears,
And moan sadly like doves;
We hope for justice, but there is none,
For salvation, but it is far from us.
Arise my lovers. Arise My dear ones. Arise My fierce ones. The time for being timid has passed. The time to be bold, unapologetic lovers and conveyers of truth is now. Shine your light My dear ones. Shine My light you glorious ones in whom My glory shines. These are the days of the Great Awakening. Be the light that wakes them — that rouses the sleeping ones and the stumbling ones. Be the great light that I have called, positioned and equipped you to be. Stand tall in obedience, in boldness and in absolute firm conviction that your feet are planted on truth. Arise and shine my dear ones. Arise and shine My lovers. It’s time to be bold. It’s time to stand in truth.
How to Respond
- Obey the voice, prompting and instruction of the Lord.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come and strengthen me. Help me to see and understand what You are calling me to do. Help me to live in quick and complete obedience to You. I don’t want to be the one who delays the rescue of anyone who needs to find You.
- Declare, We are the light of the world. The Lord’s glory shines on us, so we can point all people to Him. Jesus is the Savior of the world. At His Name, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. The increase of His government knows no end.
- Decree, I will walk in faithfulness, in boldness and in quick and complete obedience to the Lord my God. I will be part of the Great Awakening. I will be part of the global victory ushered in by the awakening. I will not be found on the sidelines. I will not be found asleep.
