Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 54

Shout for joy, infertile one, you who have not given birth to any child;
Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor;
For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous
Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent;
Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, do not spare them;
Lengthen your ropes
And strengthen your pegs.
3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left.
And your descendants will possess nations
And will resettle the desolate cities.
4
“Fear not, for you will not be put to shame;
And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced;
But you will forget the shame of your youth,
And no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.

Isaiah 54:1-4

The Spirit of the Lord says,
Walk as those who are rulers, not as the ruled. Walk as a free man. Walk as a free woman. Walk as one who dances through life. Walk as one who doesn’t know strife. Walk as one who has fun, whose feet march to the beat of their own drum, whose only master is the Lord God Most High. Walk like an Egyptian.

Walk as one upon whom My grace has fallen and rests. Walk as one who glides through life. Walk as the unoppressed. I Am calling you to walk into the future, to walk into your future, and to pull the future into today with the way you walk, the way you talk and the way you carry yourself. Walk as one who rules, not as one who is ruled. Walk as one who is a child of the King, one who lives in the covenant of grace, not as a slave bound and oppressed. Walk like an Egyptian.

11 “Afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted,
Behold, I will set your stones in antimony,
And I will lay your foundations with sapphires.
12 Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies,
And your gates of crystal,
And your entire wall of precious stones.
13 All your sons will be taught by the Lord;
And the well-being of your sons will be great.
14 In righteousness you will be established;
You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear;
And from terror, for it will not come near you.

Isaiah 54:11-14

Walk as a free one. Walk as a ruler. Walk as one whose eyes and mouth taunts the enemy and brings him to open shame. Walk as ones who are children of grace, freed by the blood of Jesus — so free that your heart and soul live as if they were never held captive, never bound, never subjugated. Live and walk freely in truth. Speak boldly and fearlessly in the marketplace and in the public square. Trust My voice as it speaks to your heart, and live so freely that you dance through life. Live so freely that your enemy is offended by the freedom and the grace that you embrace, carry and of which you sing. Walk as the rulers and not the ruled. Walk as a true Christian. Walk as an authentic representation of of Christ Jesus, your King.

15 If anyone fiercely attacks you, it will not be from Me.
Whoever attacks you will fall because of you.
16 Behold, I Myself have created the smith who blows on the fire of coals
And produces a weapon for its work;
And I have created the destroyer to inflict ruin.
17 No weapon that is formed against you will succeed;
And you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.

Isaiah 54:15-17

Learn to hear My voice and heed My promptings. We’re going into deep waters where it will be absolutely critical to trust and obey. These are waters for seasoned sailors whose hands and eyes and ears and minds, whose hearts are in sync with their captain. These are not days to wing it. These are days to move with urgency when I speak. These are days of no hesitations. These are days for quick response, quick engagement, quick obedience, and these will be days where you will see quick results. The season has changed. The time has changed, and how things work here are very different than where you have been.

What you learned in the previous place has equipped you to do well in this one. But the way you had to live in that place, the way you worked, moved and operated does not translate here. There are new ways, new methods, new movements, new responses and new operations here. Trust and obey. I will show you the way. Walk as a freed one. Walk as a free one. Walk as a ruler and not the ruled.

She reminds us what having authority in Christ truly means for believers.

How to Respond

  • Spend time immersed in worship.
  • Ask the Lord to embolden you to walk as royalty with dominion. Ask Him to give you opportunities and the holy confidence to use your voice.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit come. Fill me with Your power from on high. Come and impart a fresh revelation of who You say I am and what your purpose for me is in this season. Help me to walk with bold holy confidence as Your voice and Your grace leads.
  • Declare, the Lord is calling us to walk as the rulers, not the ruled. The Lord is calling us to live as free ones — filled with life, vigor and joy. He is calling us to live as ones whose hearts are entwined with His.
  • Decree, I will walk as one who is a ruler and not the ruled. I will walk as a beautiful reflection of Christ my king and savior. I will live in close connection and quick obedience to the Lord. I will live continually being filled with His joy, and I will begin to dance through life as a victorious one.
