Psalm 139
“Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins.”

The Spirit of the Lord says,
Babies are the ultimate representation of possibility. Everything about them speaks potential. Everything about them speaks possibility. I plant My longings and the wonder of Me deep in the heart of all babies. Great potential is there.
“You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me! This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength. Where could I go from your Spirit? Where could I run and hide from your face? Wherever I go, your hand will guide me; your strength will empower me.”

It’s up to the parents to nurture the baby, take care of the baby and raise them in the awe and delight of Me. It’s the role of the parents to draw out that potential, to give it runway to stretch out and get legs. Parents are like careful gardeners, tending and pruning. They are like good coaches, encouraging and correcting. They are places of refuge and safety. They should be ultimate sources of trustworthiness and security.
“You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place; carefully, skillfully you shaped me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.”
Psalms 139:13-16 TPT
I delight in new life. I delight in every stage. Possibility grows into potential and the matures into reality. Draw out what I have placed inside of your little ones, and partner with Me to develop and draw out what I have placed inside of you. My work with you is never done. The potential I have placed inside of you knows no limits. I don’t make lost causes. Each and every person I have created with My own hands, and each is fearfully and wonderfully made. You are wonderfully made.
Delight in Me, and watch the new areas of potential that come to the surface. Delight in Me as Good Good Father. As the Master Vinedresser, I will draw the potential out of you. I will draw the delight to the surface and connect it to purpose. I will do it. As you delight in Me, as you take pleasure in My Presence, I will delight in you, and I will connect you to purpose.
How to Respond
- Keep your heart pure before the Lord.
- Delight yourself in the Lord. Make knowing Him your first and central priority.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Show me how to draw potential out of my children. Help me to care for them the way that You care for me. Help me to stir up wonder and thanksgiving in my own heart, so that You can draw potential out of me too.
- Declare, the Lord knit me together in my mother’s womb. He is the Good Good Father. He is the Master Vinedresser. He is the only one who knows all of the potential that He has placed inside of each one of us.
- Decree, I was fearfully and wonderfully made by the hands of the Lord my God. I will pursue Him, prioritize Him and delight in knowing Him and being in His Presence. As I walk with the Lord, He will draw potential to the surface in me, and He will connect me to new purposes that I could have never even fathomed. He will show me how to do the same for my children, and they will grow in the knowledge and delight of Him.
