Proverbs 3
Isaiah 55
Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters;
Isaiah 55:1-3
And you who have no money come, buy and eat.
Come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without cost.
2 “Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And delight yourself in abundance.
3 “Incline your ear and come to Me.
Listen, that you may live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
According to the faithful mercies shown to David.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
The world tells you to put on a good face, to smile like you mean it. I promise and deliver change at the spirit level, change at the cellular level, change at the heart level. The world tells you to man up, to put on a mask that says you are happy, a face that says you are fine. I say lean into Me. Come to Me. Abandon your position, loose your grip, and give it all to Me.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Proverbs 3:7-8
Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
8 It will be healing to your body
And refreshment to your bones.
Bring it all to Me. I can sort through the pain, the confusion, the heartache and the turmoil. I can sort through the lies and the pride, the facades and the mirrors. Bring your heart, your life, your baggage, your uncertainty, your pain. Bring it all to Me. I Am the great sorter. I Am the great restorer. I Am the healer, deliverer and reviver. I will bring refreshment to your life and healing to your bones — if you allow Me, if you ask Me.
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
Proverbs 3:5-6
And do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
Come My child. I made you for more than this. I made you for full health. I made you for victory. I made you for soundness of mind and for overcoming the wiles and onslaught of the enemy. I didn’t create you for confusion. You don’t have to live this way. Reach out a hand. You will find My arm is already outstretched in your direction. I’m not asking you to put on a good face. I’m not asking you to play a part. Come to Me with a humble heart. Relinquish your burdens, your rights, your knowledge, and ask Me to come in. Ask Me to sort through it all for you and leave only what is true. Ask Me to heal the wounds and mend the broken places and parts.
6 Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Isaiah 55:6
Call upon Him while He is near.
Ask Me what is required for that wonder-working, life changing power. It is a simple step toward Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the life. Reach out your hand and your heart to Jesus. He’s the One who will save your life. He longs to dwell with you and wrap you in His loving embrace. Take a step toward Jesus, and you will experience His transformative grace. He won’t ever ask you to smile like you mean it. Instead, He Himself will change you from the inside. His light, His love will be your never ending source of joy.
How to Respond
- Relinquish your control, relinquish your rights, your beliefs, your position to Jesus, and see how He changes your outlook and your life.
- Pray, Jesus come. I believe that You are the Way, the Truth and the Life — that no one can access the Father except through You. I have made a mess of things by doing life in my own strength and by my own code. I’m sorry Jesus. Come in and repair and restore the broken places of my life. Come and re-order, realign and recalibrate my heart and life. Transform me. Renew and restore me. Resurrect my heart, and help me to walk with You from this day forward.
- Declare, I can’t do life in my own strength. I can’t live well, full and whole apart from the grace of Jesus.
- Decree, Jesus, You are my strength, my Savior and my reward. You are the only One who makes my life work, who makes my life make sense, who gives my life meaning, who makes my life worth living. I will walk with You all the days of my life.
