13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
Psalm 27:13
In the land of the living.
The Lord says,
You will see My goodness in the land of the living. Be among the living. Be among the thriving. Be among the seeking, the adoring, the worshipping, the dancing ones. Be among the exuberant ones. Be like David who led a throng in procession to My house. Be among those who love Me and love to dwell in My Presence. Be among those whose hearts and souls cry out for Me, the Living God. Be among those who hunger and thirst for My Presence and for righteousness. Be among those who live ever transforming, ever becoming, ever cleansing to better reflect Me, My goodness, My righteousness, My kindness, My patience, My unshakable, immovable way.
42 As the deer pants for the water brooks,
Psalm 42:1-2
So my soul pants for You, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God;
When shall I come and appear before God?
Can you feel the desire building to dwell with Me, to pursue Me, to commune with Me? Stir up the desire in your heart. Stir up the anticipation in your soul. Stir up the excitement and light in your eyes. Come. Seek after Me. I Am the place from which all good things flow. I Am the source of all wisdom and every perfect solution. I have no worries and no concerns. Anxiety and stress are not in Me, and they are not from Me. They must flee in My Presence, right along with their cousin, fear.
4 One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
Psalm 27:4
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple.
Choose life. Choose vibrant life among the living, among the worshippers, among the adventurous ones whose hearts beat and long for Me, My ways, My beauty, My perfection. Come. Come up higher, and sit with Me here. Come, and see all of this from My perspective. Come, and find yourself filled with pure joy and indescribable peace. Be overwhelmed by the radiance and absolute goodness of Me. I Am with you. I Am for you. And I have not, nor will I ever leave or forsake you. I forsook My only Son Jesus, so that We would never have to forsake you. Come, come, come. Join your heart and your life with Mine. Join your vision and your perspective with Mine. Join your sense of expectation with Mine, and know that if it’s not good, it’s not over. Because I win, and because I Am absolutely good.
4 So I will bless You as long as I live;
Psalm 63:4-7
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
5 My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.
6 When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches,
7 For You have been my help,
And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
Let your life be an ongoing act of worship to Me. Every choice and effort you make, do them as unto Me. My reward is great, and there is no sorrow added to it. Come, sit, dwell with Me. Take your place right here up close to Me. Ask for wisdom, and I will give it. Ask for what you need, and I will cause it. I Am the One who can make rivers spring up in the desert. Nothing is too difficult for Me, the God of Angel Armies. Come. Lay your burdens down. Come and pick up joy, peace and overwhelming love in their place. Come, be overcome by My goodness. All you need to do is come and ask.
8 When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You,
Psalm 27:8
“Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.”
Come and sit. Come and worship. Come commune with Me. This is your birthright, and it is your instinct. It’s who you are. I wove it into the very fiber of your being. Come be who you are. Come be who I created you to be, right here with Me.
How to Respond
- Set time aside to sit in the Presence of the Lord without an agenda. Bring your burdens before Him and ask Him to to fill the room with His Presence, with His peace, with His joy. Ask Him to show you His goodness. Sit in worship and wonder of Him.
- Declare, the Lord alone is good. He alone is worthy of honor and praise. He is the giver of every good and perfect gift, the Father of Heavenly Lights, the God of Angel Armies, the Immovable, Unshakable, Only Wise King.
- Decree, I have nothing to fear, because I Am a child of the Living God, covered by the powerful unmatched Blood of Jesus, My Savior, Redeemer and King. The Lord only operates in love and in goodness toward me. I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
- Pray, Lord, draw me closer to You. Help me to stir up a greater desire for Your Presence, Your ways and Your Word. Help me to trust in You regardless of the storm that surrounds me. Remind me of your goodness.
