Today’s Reading:
Romans 8
8 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
Romans 8:1-6
The Spirit of the Lord says,
I reward those who linger with Me. Lingering with Me is a reward, and I add reward to it. I add revelation knowledge, insight, encouragement, refreshing, vision and strength. Lingering with Me is the reward, and it brings a reward. Come. Sit. Stay with Me. Come up here, and sit next to Me. Let’s have a heart to heart for a while. I want you to see what I see. I want you to see as I see — the vast wide stretches, the unending reaches of possibility that are unfurled out before us. I have made you for more — more than you could hope, dream or imagine. I made you for greatness. I made you for vibrant, abundant, love-filled life. I made you to burst forth as a great light that breaks through the darkness and lights paths for many. I made you to shine like the Son.
14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
Romans 8:14-17
I made you to be one as We are one. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Live in unity with one another. Live in unity with Us, and failure will not dent you. It may scrape you. It may bruise you, but it will leave no lasting dents in your character. Shame and regret have no place here. I have paid it all. Drop them. Stop allowing them to be a security blanket of penance. I paid it ALL. ALL OF IT. Whom or what shall you fear? The enemy longs to wrap you and robe you and clothe you in regret, fear and shame. But I have come so that you may have life and life more abundant. Drop those burdens. Leave them all at My feet. Grasp My hand, and you will never wear that shame face again. My eyes are on you, and My heart is for you. Whom or what shall you fear?
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? 33 Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; 34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 Just as it is written,“For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:31-39
Pick up your chin. Raise up your countenance My beautiful one. I have made you for more than this, so much more than this. Grab My hand, and run with Me. We will take on great exploits. We will have many adventures. You just have to cut ties with the shame and regret. They are dragging you down and making it so you can’t run and certainly can’t fly. Don’t be wearing that shame and regret when it’s time for lift-off. Cut ties with them now. Renounce them now. The blood of Jesus has covered all. ALL. ALL. It IS finished. Cut it off. Shake it off, and leave it as dust in the past. We are marching onward. Don’t carry those heavy weights with you. I have work for you to do.
How to Respond
- If you are carrying the weight of fear, regret or shame take them to the Lord. Ask Him to come in and heal the wounds that caused them. Do it specifically for each emotional wound, so you can get specific healing for each of those. Ask Him to replace the bad feelings with ones of love, peace, forgiveness, and whatever feelings run opposite to the ones you have been carrying. Let Him take theses old wounds away completely, and live free. For more on simple emotional healing, get this book.
- Be willing to share your testimony of forgiveness and healing as the Lord puts people in your path to encourage, help and invite into His perfect healing.
- Declare, the Lord is good and His faithfulness endures forever.
- Decree, I am fully loved, fully forgiven, fully healed, fully delivered and fully free because of the blood of Christ Jesus my Lord. I am a child of God, seated with Him in Heavenly places.
