Lord, I will offer myself freely, and everything I am I give to you. I will worship and praise your name, O Lord, for it is precious to me. Through you I’m saved—rescued from every trouble. I’ve seen with my eyes the defeat of my enemies. I’ve triumphed over them all!
Psalms 54:6-7 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Release yourself. Squirm your way out of the grip of the world. No longer permit it to hold you, to dominate you, to control you. No longer allow it to intimidate you, nor allow its mocking and derision to hit your soul. Free yourself from the grip of the world, from the grip of the onlookers and spectators of your life. Free yourself from their grip on you, so you can soar. Their opinions have served as ropes and fetters and weights holding you back, pushing you down and crowding you into a small confined space. But He who the Son sets free is free indeed. Wiggle out from under the control of their gaze, and be free.
So here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you.
Psalms 55:22 TPT
Be free to be who I made you to be. Don’t be covered by and immobilized by the mindsets, the opinions the expectations and the grip of the world. Hide yourself in Me, and be perfectly and wonderfully free. There’s a whole world out there for you to explore. Adventures untold await you, as you wriggle out from the reins of the world that has been holding you back. I have set you free to run, to dance, to leap, laugh and live in the fullness of joy. Don’t let anything or anyone hold you back from all that I have planned for you, for all that I have set out on your path awaiting you.
The very moment I call to you for a father’s help the tide of battle turns and my enemies flee. This one thing I know: God is on my side! I trust in the Lord. And I praise him! I trust in the Word of God. And I praise him! What harm could man do to me? With God on my side, I will not be afraid of what comes. My heart overflows with praise to God and for his promises. I will always trust in him. So I’m thanking you with all my heart, with gratitude for all you’ve done. I will do everything I’ve promised you, Lord.
Psalms 56:9-12 TPT
Wiggle out of the controlling, demanding, never relenting grip of the world and all its demands on your life and you behavior and you looks. And instead make Me your hiding place, your safe place. I have unlimited space. I will not box you in. In Me you are perfectly and wonderfully free. Your runway is unlimited in Me. The impossible is possible in Me. Be one who can laugh and say with unyielding joy and confidence, “the world has lost its grip on Me. I have been made completely and totally, absolutely, wonderfully free. My King set me free.” Cut the fetters my dear one, and be set free.
How to Respond
- Pray, Holy Spirit help me to see what in my life is still controlled by the world. Help me to see what I am allowing to hold me back, box me in or weigh me down. Jesus has already paid the full price and has set me completely free. Help me to free myself from everything to which I have knowingly or unknowingly ceded my freedom.
- Declare, the Son has set me free, so I am fully, completely and absolutely free. – John 8:36
- Decree, I will not allow the opinions of others, the voices of others, the expectations and pressures of the world hold me back, box me in or weigh me down. I have cut the fetters, and I live in the full freedom for which Christ Jesus my King paid. I have unlimited space, potential and runway, because my God is the God for whom nothing is impossible.
