For as your extremely generous offering meets the approval of those in Jerusalem, it will cause them to give glory to God—all because of your loyal support and allegiance to the gospel of Christ, as well as your generous-hearted partnership with them toward those in need.

2 Corinthians 9:11-13

Freedom Is Found in Generosity

The Lord says,
The freedom you’ve been looking for is found in Me. It’s found in Jesus. It’s found inside the protective boundaries of My Word, My commandments and the instruction that I have written on your heart. It’s found in generosity. Freedom comes from giving of the abundant overflow of grace and provision that I have given you.

Freedom is not a man-made institution, it is not a man-made gift. I made freedom, and I give it freely. Freedom is found from dwelling safely within the boundaries that I have set because of My wisdom and understanding.

Freedom is sharing freely and knowing with certainty that I will provide more for you. Freedom is knowing with absolute certainty that you serve the God of more than enough and always enough. Freedom is knowing that giving does not lead you to poverty; it leads you to abundance and freedom. Freedom is no longer being captive to the lies that once bound you, that held you back from giving love and support, kind words and financial blessing generously. Freedom comes when you rebuke those lies and give freely as I have given and always give to you. Don’t withhold a kind word. Don’t withhold a helping hand. Don’t withhold a nice healthy tip. Give these freely and watch as I pour out from My storehouses of blessing.

My Kingdom economy does not conform to modern economic theory. My Kingdom economy is not based on the laws of supply and demand. My Kingdom economy is based on generosity, on faithfulness, on thanksgiving and trust. It’s foundation is abundance and love. My Kingdom and My resources know no end, so don’t fear that the tap of My love and My provision and My abundance and My increase will be drying up. I always have more where that came from.

Find freedom for your soul through Christ Jesus. Find freedom for your day to day living and long term planning by hearing and obeying Holy Spirit who dwells within you and by trusting in the Lord Your God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will not wring you dry and call poverty a virtue. No, I Am the God of abundance, of opulence, of glory, gates of pearl and streets of gold. Just as it was of old, so it is now, abundance and wealth is a mark of My favor. It should not be viewed otherwise.

Sure some possess ill gotten gains and wealth through evil means. These I will deal with and repay. But their ill gotten gains do not negate the beauty and the truth that wealth and abundance and provision comes from My Hand as a mark of favor, of grace, to reward faithfulness and to ignite thanksgiving. Don’t let the riches of those aligned with evil inhibit you from receiving or positioning yourself to receive from My Hand of abundance and grace.

11 Your gateways will always remain wide open
around the clock to let in the procession of kings
bringing their constant stream of the riches of the nations.

Isaiah 60:11

Take Your Place of Authority

The Lord says,
You are to be lord over your finances. They should not be your master. Find freedom, true freedom in finances by walking in obedience and gladness to the promptings of My Spirit. Give freely. Sow generously, and watch how I bring the abundance of nations to you. Generosity looses the chains that money has bound you in and puts things back in their proper pecking order. Money is a tool for you, not your master. Seek ways to be generous. Position yourself to give before the need is called for, and you will see that it’s a beautiful practice and even a fun game to be a blessing to those least expecting it, to be a blessing to those who don’t deserve it, and to reflect the wide open heart of generosity of your Father in Heaven. This kind of freedom is contagious. This kind of freedom is marveled at and admired by all. Watch the favor that comes in response to your hand of generosity. This is life in the Spirit. This is how you access financial freedom.

9 Glorify God with all your wealth,
honoring him with your firstfruits,
with every increase that comes to you.
10 Then every dimension of your life will overflow with blessings
from an uncontainable source of inner joy!

Proverbs 3:9-10

Receive the Revelation for Financial Freedom

The Lord says,
I Am pouring out the desire for this kind of freedom and the revelation for financial freedom and for abundance in finances. I Am pouring it out onto the heads of many. Don’t let it be a fleeting thought. Don’t let the revelation pass you by. Don’t let this be a nice to do when the bank statement is healthier. Grab ahold of it now and watch me bless your socks off. Grab ahold of the revelation and don’t let go.

Run forward into generosity. Run forward into a life that flows from My grace toward strangers, and watch how My Father’s heart of blessing and favor returns these acts of kindness, generosity, obedience and blessing back to you — sometimes ten fold, sometimes twenty fold.

How to Respond

  • Release your finances to the Lord. Offer them to Him and ask for His wisdom.
  • Make tithing a priority and a discipline.
  • Ask the Lord to help you rearrange your relationship with money so that you are the master of your finances and not the other way around.
  • Declare that the Lord is the God of abundance, of more than enough and that He loves to bless His children with every good and perfect gift from above.
  • Ask the Lord to give you ideas for ways to be generous and to give you targets – organizations or people – for your generosity.
  • Consider opening an account with funds set aside for your spontaneous giving. Let the account be a point of freedom, acknowledging that your generosity is not bound by the statement balance on the account.
  • Consider keeping more cash on hand, so you are able to put it in the hands of those who could use a blessing.
