Today’s Reading:
Psalm 92
“It’s true the wicked flourish, but only for a moment; they foolishly forget their destiny with death, that they will all one day be destroyed forevermore. But you, O Lord, are exalted forever in the highest place of endless glory, while your opponents, the workers of wickedness, will all perish, forever separated from you.”
Psalms 92:7-9 TPT
In prayer this morning I heard the Lord say, did you know that lions can race? You will watch the lions race. Then I saw a vision of a blue icon of a lion, like the one on the helmet of the Detroit Lions. I thought it was either related to Detroit or possibly the UK. Then I asked the Lord what it was, and He said, Detroit is racing. Watch for a Detroit race. The vision changed and I saw what I can only describe as bleeding at an election, like at the ballot box. And the Lord said, you will watch the left bleed out and hemorrhage in Detroit. In Detroit. They will bleed out during the election, and life will belong to the right. Victory will belong to the righteous. The left is wounded from friendly fire in battle and will bleed out and expire on election night in Detroit.
“Your anointing has made me strong and mighty. You’ve empowered my life for triumph by pouring fresh oil over me. You’ve said that those lying in wait to pounce on me would be defeated, and now it’s happened right in front of my eyes, and I’ve heard their cries of surrender!”

Then the Spirit of the Lord said,
Watch as the right springs up like a righteous true shoot in Detroit. People will marvel that such a righteous stalk could come from such a place. But I will use this righteous stalk, this green shoot of truth, honor and dignity to restore and revive the land and the people, and Detroit will shine again. She will get shined up like an old trophy, like an old race car that has been souped up with a modern engine. She will purr to life again. She will be a sparkling city of excellence again. Then I saw in a vision a city literally made of cars — where the buildings all appeared to be built from cars. And I heard the Lord say, The city will be made of beautiful, marvelous shining cars again. She will be my city.
“Yes! Look how you’ve made all your devoted lovers to flourish like palm trees, each one growing in victory, standing with strength! You’ve transplanted them into your heavenly courtyard, where they are thriving before you, for in your presence they will still overflow and be anointed. Even in their old age they will stay fresh, bearing luscious fruit and abiding faithfully. Listen to them! With pleasure they still proclaim: “You’re so good! You’re my beautiful strength! You’ve never made a mistake with me.””
Psalms 92:12-15 TPT
As I pressed in for more, I heard the Lord say,
Michiganders will be seen as giants again. They will become titans of industry, even as they are ones of incredibly soft hearts. Because of their love for Me, because of their humility and the purity with which they seek Me, I will raise up great giants, great titans of industry in Michigan again. I will raise up giants and titans that lead in all aspects of society again. Michigan will be a city on a hill. Michigan will be a land of My giants, soft-hearted giants, a people after My own heart.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You that Your eyes are on the city of Detroit and the people of Michigan. Thank You that You have heard their cries and petitions and that You are for them. Raise up that righteous shoot Lord. And cause the wicked to fall and disappear from sight in Michigan. Raise up the soft-hearted giants and titans of industry and every aspect of society. Rebuild the city and the state to be a beautiful reflection of Your glory.
- Declare, the Lord is raising up leaders of righteousness and honor who are men and women after God’s own heart in Michigan and specifically in Detroit.
- Decree, we will see Detroit led by a righteous leader who will transform the city and spark transformation of the whole state. We will see leaders of all aspects of society rise up as highly successful innovators whose eyes are firmly fixed on the Lord. Michigan will become a city on a hill.
