Today’s Reading:
Joel 2:18-32
19 The Lord will answer and say to His people,
Joel 2:19
“Behold, I am going to send you grain, new wine and oil,
And you will be satisfied in full with them;
And I will never again make you a reproach among the nations.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Faithfulness. My heart is on faithfulness. I’m looking for My faithful ones, My faithful lovers who have stayed the course, who have plowed their field, who have done the work planting their seed. I’m looking to and fro for My faithful ones. I Am shaking the trees, and I Am looking in the hidden places for these faithful ones who have been hard at work. They’re doing the work I have put in their hands. They have plowed the row in front of them, and they are busy about the Father’s business. This is the season of reward. This is the season of multiplied benefit. This is the season of sprouting and harvest coming up over night.
23 So rejoice, O sons of Zion,
Joel 2:23-25
And be glad in the Lord your God;
For He has given you the early rain for your vindication.
And He has poured down for you the rain,
The early and latter rain as before.
24 The threshing floors will be full of grain,
And the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil.
25 “Then I will make up to you for the years
That the swarming locust has eaten,
The creeping locust, the stripping locust and the gnawing locust,
My great army which I sent among you.
What you look out at is a plowed, planted and well-tended field with little or no signs of life, but I will cause this field that you have so faithfully tended to sprout up to near maturity overnight and to be ready for harvest on the second day. You have planted, and you have longed to see the fruit of your labor. Watch what I Am about to do. The acceleration of abundance will take your breath away. It will sprout up overnight, and then after one full day and one full night, the second day after the sprouting, it will be time for the harvest. Watch for the long waited, sudden and rapidly appearing harvest. Prepare your baskets. Tank up the trucks. Get ready for the harvest though no signs of life, of growth, of fruit are here. Prepare your hearts, your homes, your supplies and tools for the sudden harvest of your efforts. It is so near.
26 “You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied
Joel 2:26-27
And praise the name of the Lord your God,
Who has dealt wondrously with you;
Then My people will never be put to shame.
27 “Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel,
And that I am the Lord your God,
And there is no other;
And My people will never be put to shame.
I Am looking for My faithful ones, and I Am watering and anointing the fields of their plowing, planting and tending. Watch for a super- abundant sudden harvest. It will take your breath away. Mark it down as a sign of My love. Mark it down as a multiplied return. Mark it down as payment for what the locusts have eaten in previous seasons. Mark it down as a reward and a multiplied benefit for your faithfulness and because of My love. This is the season of the sudden harvest and multiplied benefit for My faithful ones. Press on until it comes.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for being the God who sees me. Thank You for seeing and recognizing my efforts, my faithfulness, my struggles and my concerns. Bring the fruit Lord. Bring the growth and the sudden super-abundant harvest as You have said. Show me what to do to prepare for it.
- Declare, the Lord is searching the Earth, looking for His faithful ones, so He can bless them. The Lord will pour out a blessing and cause a sudden super-abundant life and fruitfulness to spring forth that will lead to a harvest of multiplied benefit.
- Decree, I will experience the favor and super-abundant anointed growth of the Lord on all of the work I have been doing in faithfulness to the Lord. In this season I will reap a reward of multiplied benefit that far surpasses all that the enemy has stolen, all that the locusts have eaten and all that has been lost in former seasons. I will experience and bring in a super-abundant harvest because of my faithfulness and because of the Lord’s love.
