Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 32

32 Behold, a king will reign righteously
And princes will rule justly.
2 Each will be like a refuge from the wind
And a shelter from the storm,
Like streams of water in a dry country,
Like the shade of a huge rock in a parched land.

Isaiah 32:1-2

This morning in prayer I had a vision of medieval knights on horseback and a castle. Then I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, the King is returning. The spirit of resurrection is here. The King is coming. The vision continued and I saw that the knights were on the outside of the castle. And I heard the Lord say, they don’t need to break in. Though they have been locked out, they have the Master’s key. My key will unlock the gate and open the bars of iron. As the knights walked in, they saw that the place was vacant, empty. It looked well fortified, and they found it empty. Except for a few servants and secretaries, it was totally empty. I asked the Lord to explain this to me. He said, The knights are going to open the way for the King to return to his office, to his desk, to his throne. The King is coming.

14 Because the palace has been abandoned, the populated city forsaken.
Hill and watch-tower have become caves forever,
A delight for wild donkeys, a pasture for flocks;
15 Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high,
And the wilderness becomes a fertile field,
And the fertile field is considered as a forest.
16 Then justice will dwell in the wilderness
And righteousness will abide in the fertile field.
17 And the work of righteousness will be peace,
And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.

Isaiah 32:14-17

The Spirit of the Lord continued saying, The King is coming. The birds will chirp and all of nature will celebrate his return. Creation will celebrate the restoration of what is right, the return to what is right and the settling in the spirit because governance, leadership, kingship is right. The earth will settle into a new posture. It will rest instead of being restless. It will be mild instead of violent. Creation will settle down as things return to the rightful headship and the King begins to make things right — for the children, for the finances, for elections. As justice is delivered, the earth will relax.

Creation will settle and no longer revolt against the tyrannical rule, against the darkness, against the evil as it gets flushed out into the light and justice, pure shining justice is delivered to the people. All rise, the King is coming!

18 My people will live in safety, quietly at home.
They will be at rest.
19 Even if the forest should be destroyed
and the city torn down,
20 the Lord will greatly bless his people.
Wherever they plant seed, bountiful crops will spring up.
Their cattle and donkeys will graze freely.

Isaiah 32:18-20 NLT

How to Respond

  • Pray, Lord, restore righteous rule as You have said. Bring justice, peace and restoration to the people and to the land.
  • Declare, the King is coming and he will restore justice and righteous rule to the earth.
  • Decree, I will see justice, peace and the settling and quieting of Creation in response to the return to righteous rule. Creation will breathe a sigh of relief and relax, because evil that was hidden in darkness was flushed out and properly addressed.
