Today’s Readings:
Obadiah 1
Ephesians 6

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

Ephesians 6:10-13

The Lord says,
Make Me the center of your home. Make Me the anchor, the pillar and the touchstone from which all decisions are made. Firmly install Me as the center of your home, and let Me take the heavy load off of your shoulders and your heart. Shake off the worry, the burden, the anxiety. Smooth the creases from your forehead, and let’s dance. Let’s play. Let’s celebrate. As you release the weights, the anxiety, the stress and the burden, watch as I will exchange them for victory. Watch as I replace them with joy. Watch as many reasons for celebration drive up your driveway and call your phone. Don’t allow yourself to be controlled by circumstance, by burden, by fear. Shake it off and choose immovable trust in Me. Choose Me. Choose hope. Choose the vision for the future that I have planted in your heart, and you can go ahead and start celebrating.

17 “But on Mount Zion there will be those who escape,
And it will be holy.
And the house of Jacob will possess their possessions.
18 “Then the house of Jacob will be a fire
And the house of Joseph a flame;
But the house of Esau will be as stubble.
And they will set them on fire and consume them,
So that there will be no survivor of the house of Esau,”
For the Lord has spoken.
19 Then those of the Negev will possess the mountain of Esau,
And those of the Shephelah the Philistine plain;
Also, possess the territory of Ephraim and the territory of Samaria,
And Benjamin will possess Gilead.
20 And the exiles of this host of the sons of Israel,
Who are among the Canaanites as far as Zarephath,
And the exiles of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad
Will possess the cities of the Negev.

Obadiah 1:17-20

Things are changing. The days we live in are changing. Structures and institutions are changing, and the reigns of power are changing hands. You will see major, hard to comprehend, unsettling change around you in the days, weeks and even months ahead. But your home can be a refuge and a place of sheer delight if I Am at the center. Celebration, blessing and advancement will come to you in the midst of the shaking, in the midst of the turmoil, in the midst of incomprehensible change and volatility. You can remain unmoved. You can remain in joy. I desire that you actually are advancing, growing and being propelled farther and higher in this time. It is possible if I Am the center of your home. It’s possible if what you see and hear does not strike fear in your heart or distract you from the vital work I have put in front of you.

21 The deliverers will ascend Mount Zion
To judge the mountain of Esau,
And the kingdom will be the Lord’s.

Obadiah 1:21

This is a time for My people to advance, because everyone else’s eyes will be off the ball. This is a strategic time of advancement, quiet acceleration, under the radar promotion, infiltration and occupation. This is a strategic war time of gaining ground on the mountains. Make Me the center of your home, and watch the seemingly covert missions I take you on. Watch the startling and strange, exciting and unexpected assignments that come to you in broad daylight that no one else even notices. Watch the surprising and puzzling opportunities that come your way in the midst of the chaos. You will be able to make wise choices and live in perfect peace, as you make Me the permanent unmovable center of your home.

How to Respond

  • Trust the Lord and clear out all of the clutter so He can be the center of your home.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit come. You are most welcome here. Come and take the place of honor in my home. Come and take Your place as the foundation and the cornerstone of my heart, my family and my home. Come Holy Spirit, come. You are most welcome. Tell me if there’s anything that I need to move to make you more comfortable, to make you feel more at home here.
  • Declare, the Lord desires to be the center of my home. The Lord will use the time of political and social unrest and uncertainty, change and shaking to strategically advance and place His lovers. His plan is to make great covert advancements while the world is preoccupied with the shaking.
  • Decree, the Lord is most welcome in my home and as the foundation and center of my home. I will not give into fear, anxiety or distraction that comes with the shaking and change. I will keep my eyes squarely focused on the Lord and the work and assignments He calls me to in the midst of the storm. I will be one who takes ground, who occupies and who gains great territory on the mountains.
