Today’s Reading:
Psalm 18
Psalm 85
Psalm 136
Matthew 5

136 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever:

Psalm 136:1-3 NKJV

The Spirit of the Lord says,
My mercy endures forever. My mercy is a source of strength. My mercy is a sign of strength. The world views mercy as weakness, but who are the ones in a position to show mercy? It is those who are in a position of of strength. Don’t view mercy as weakness. It is a gift from the powerful to those who have less power, to those who are weak, to those who are low. Let My mercy be your guide. To the merciful, I show Myself merciful. My mercy is available to those with kindness in their hearts for those less fortunate, those who stumbled, those who made a mistake, even an egregious error or purposeful sin.

7 Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.

Matthew 5:7 NKJV

I extend My mercy to those who extend mercy, and My mercy endures forever. Do you see the eternal implication? Do you see the incredible significance of being one who shows mercy? Where your mercy goes, so goes Mine. As you give, so you will receive. The principle, the law of sowing and reaping extends to mercy. As you sow mercy, mercy will sprout up for you in your moments of need. Be diligent in sowing kindness and mercy. In doing so, you position yourself for the mercy of others, and you position yourself as one who receives My eternal gift of mercy for yourself.

23 I was blameless before him,
and I kept myself from my guilt.
24
So the Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness,
according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.
25
With the merciful you show yourself merciful;
with the blameless man you show yourself blameless;
26 with the purified you show yourself pure;
and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous.
27 For you save a humble people,
but the haughty eyes you bring down.
28 For it is you who light my lamp;
the Lord my God lightens my darkness.

Psalm 18:23-28 ESV

These are days of a great flood of change. It will be an opportunity, an unparalleled opportunity to sow harvest fields full of mercy. Change is coming for so many of your loved ones, your estranged ones, your enemies and ex-friends. Change is coming for them, and change is coming for you. Position yourself with an extraordinary readiness to sow mercy, to show mercy. As you do, you will reap a bounty of mercy, and you will reap an eternal reward. Don’t look down on my mercy when it surprises you in the lives of others. Don’t you dare be offended by My mercy. You needed it at your lowest point. You need it today and for all of eternity. Let mercy and grace be your portion. Be clothed in them along with humility, and you will reap the most bountiful reward. Live with an awareness of My mercy in your life, and extending it to others will become your natural response.

8 I will hear what God the Lord will say;
For He will speak peace to His people, to His godly ones;
But let them not turn back to folly.
9 Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
That glory may dwell in our land.
10 Lovingkindness and truth have met together;
Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
11 Truth springs from the earth,
And righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 Indeed, the Lord will give what is good,
And our land will yield its produce.
13 Righteousness will go before Him
And will make His footsteps into a way.

Psalm 85:8-13 NASB 1995

Monumental Change

Monumental change. I Am making monumental change. I’m bringing monumental change to your monuments. I’m bringing new monuments that change the stories told. I’m cleaning up your history. The history that you have been told is fraught with agendas and lies, and I Am setting the record straight. I will tell the truth about those men and women who shaped the course of your history. These lovers of Mine deserve to have their names cleared. I Am the one who cares for the reputation of My saints, My lovers, My friends; and I will reestablish and reclaim the stories of them.

True history will be told. True history will be learned. False history will be exposed for what it is — a garbage heap of the enemy’s lies, and it all will burn. You will see a great move of book burning like has never been seen before. The lies, the slander, the mocking, the hatred, the division, the pornography and vile perversion will be tossed in the fire, and it will burn. I Am cleaning your history and clearing the names of My loved ones. I Am reestablishing their character, their story, their work, assignment, purpose and impact. And I Am sending the lies to the fire where they belong. Your children will learn true history, not white washed, not agenda ridden. It will be the truth, pure and simple, sometimes pure and complicated — as people are. But the pure hearts of My lovers will be seen and the hall of heroes will reflect the true heroes as I see them, as I name them. Their true stories will be told. The truth will come to your monuments.

How to Respond

  • Pray, Lord help me to live with a continual awareness of Your mercy toward me, so that I may be one who is reflexively merciful. I need Your mercy Lord every day, so help me to be one who extends that mercy generously and often.
  • Declare, the Lord is merciful and His mercy endures forever.
  • Declare, the Lord is bringing monumental change that will tell the true stories of our history and reestablishes the true heroes in honor.
  • Decree, I will be one who lives a lifestyle of lavish mercy.
  • Decree, the truth about history will be revealed. The names and reputations of the lovers of God in our history will be restored to their rightful, truthful place. New monuments will be erected and old monuments will be restored as the Lord sees fit. We will experience monumental change in our telling and understanding of history, and it will be aligned with the Lord. Books of lies and filth and vulgarity will be burned, and the fiery burn piles of these egregious books will make history.
