Today’s Reading
Isaiah 57-58

But he who takes refuge in Me will inherit the land
And will possess My holy mountain.”

Isaiah 57:13b

The Spirit of the Lord says,
Changes. Everywhere you look, you see changes. Everywhere you look you see unrest, upheaval and disarray. The enemy is kicking up mud, but My peace is coming in like a covert operator. The more chaos and confusion is being stirred, the deeper My abiding peace is permeating the hearts of My lovers. The deeper they will be anchored, the more seaworthy their legs will feel. They will feel strong, solid and immovable. They will look out to the distant shore, and they will not be moved by the waves around them. They will not cower or shudder in fear at what is being stirred up around them — neither the height of the waves or the depths of the seas. They will be looking steadfastly at that distant shore.

16 “For I will not contend forever,
Nor will I always be angry;
For the spirit would grow faint before Me,
And the breath of those whom I have made.
17 “Because of the iniquity of his unjust gain I was angry and struck him;
I hid My face and was angry,
And he went on turning away, in the way of his heart.
18 “I have seen his ways, but I will heal him;
I will lead him and restore comfort to him and to his mourners,
19 Creating the praise of the lips.
Peace, peace to him who is far and to him who is near,”
Says the Lord, “and I will heal him.”
20 But the wicked are like the tossing sea,
For it cannot be quiet,
And its waters toss up refuse and mud.
21 “There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”

Isaiah 57:16-20

The shore was once distant, but it is drawing nearer. My people, My lovers, with eyes on the shore are amazed that others are too caught up in the waves and the mud slinging to even see how close we have come to the shore. While they are moved by every gust of wind and every dip of the ship, every splash of the waves, My lovers are firmly, steadfastly anchored, with their eyes locked on the shore. The shore is so near now. No binoculars are needed. No bird’s nest is needed. It is in plain sight. This is the shore of My salvation. This is My shore of rescue. This is the shore of stability and assurance.

8 “Then your light will break out like the dawn,
And your recovery will speedily spring forth;
And your righteousness will go before you;
The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.

11 “And the Lord will continually guide you,
And satisfy your desire in scorched places,
And give strength to your bones;
And you will be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
12 “Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins;
You will raise up the age-old foundations;
And you will be called the repairer of the breach,
The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.

Isaiah 58: 8, 11-12

The shore is your land. It’s both new land and old land. It’s re-discovered land upon which I will release you in freedom, of which I Am calling you to occupy. We will soon reach the shore, and the battle will change.

On this land you will hear My instruction to fill the earth and subdue it. My ancient instruction will ring loudly there. It will resound there. Live in joy. This land is for you. I Am for you, and we will soon disembark this wild ride on uncertain seas and set our feet on solid ground again. Those who have stood and withstood, those who have been anchored in Me and whose eyes were on Me and the once distant, now near shore will say, the Lord My God has always been the stability of my times. I will never stop walking with Him.

How to Respond

  • Keep your focus on the Lord and let all of the circumstances surrounding you become secondary to Him.
  • Pray, Lord, thank You that we are very near to the end of this wild ride we have been on for some time. Thank You in advance for bringing us safely to the shore of Your salvation and rescue. I long to be there Lord. Help me to hold fast until we get there Lord. Sustain me and uphold me.
  • Declare, the days of the wild ride on stormy and uncertain seas are soon coming to an end.
  • Decree, we will very soon disembark this wild ride and stand on the shores called the salvation and rescue of our God.
