I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert. Wild beasts, jackals, and owls will glorify me. For I supply streams of water in the desert and rivers in the wilderness to satisfy the thirst of my people, my chosen ones, so that you, whom I have shaped and formed for myself, will proclaim my praise.
Isaiah 43:19-21 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I’m sending My Spirit into dry places. I Am creating and becoming streams in the desert and pools in the wilderness. A thirsty people who do not know Me will drink and find refreshing. They will get a lot more than they bargained for. They will taste life more abundant. They will taste freedom for their soul for the first time, and they will skip and laugh and delight as young calves let out from the stall. This is a time where I Am coming to the dry places. I Am coming to the desert wildness where the movements of My living water cannot be found, cannot be seen, cannot be perceived and certainly cannot be tasted.
“I revealed myself to those who didn’t even ask to know me. Those who did not seek me found me. I said to a nation that did not call on my name, ‘Here I am! Here I am! I will help you!’”
Isaiah 65:1 TPT
I Am doing a movement for all, and I Am coming to the thirsty. Many are even living with a total unawareness of their thirst. Yet I will meet them. I will fill the tanks of hearts that have run dry. I will reawaken eyes to sparkle and shine with the light of truth and possibility. I will quench the thirsty mouths and bring healing to the dryness of soul that has come from all of those years in the desert. I will provide shade from the scorching heat. I will revive these weary ones with raisin cakes as their love for Me is awakened and their hunger for Me ignited. This is a new time — where truth will come to dry places, where pools of living water will be found in the desert.
Before you know it, Lebanon will be transformed into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will seem like a forest. In that day the deaf will begin to hear the words that have been written, and out of the darkness and gloom, the eyes of the blind will be opened to see. The meek will overflow with fresh joy in the Lord Yahweh, and the poor will shout their praises to the Holy One of Israel!
Isaiah 29:17-19 TPT
I will make My John the Baptists ones who are living full-sized shower heads of truth, instruction and the refreshing of My Spirit. They will look and sound bizarre perhaps, but their message is like a spear thrown straight into the heart. Their eyes glow with the love and the fire of passion of their King Jesus. And the refreshing of My Spirit that they carry spills forth onto all who come near. This is a wilderness revolution. This is a revolution of My Spirit out in the desert wilderness.
Clear ye the way of the Lord. Make plain the way of the Lord.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You that Your Spirit is bringing and becoming streams in the desert and pools in the wilderness where there has been no understanding or movement of You. Thank You that You are drawing people to Yourself in the simplest and purest way — through thirst and refreshing. Thank You that You are raising up John the Baptists in this time who will make clear the way of the Lord, whose words pierce the hearts of men and women and who bring a continual tremendous outpouring of refreshing by Your Spirit wherever they go.
- Declare, not by power nor by might but by My Spirit says the Lord of hosts. – Zechariah 4:6
- Decree, I will see moves of the Spirit popping up in dry and thirsty places. The Lord will make Himself known and available to a people who have not known Him, and He will refresh them and bring freedom and new life to them. The Lord is raising up John the Baptists who will make clear the way of the Lord, who will speak the penetrating truth unapologetically and who will carry the refreshing of Holy Spirit in continual abundance.
