Romans 8
8 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:1-4
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Resurrection victorious. Giant leaps forward. Strong forward momentum, and great acceleration. Just as when I raised Jesus from the dead, His return was marked by a lack of opposition, by a lack of hindrance. He could walk through walls, and no earthly authorities opposed him. So I will do in this next resurrection act. In the wake of this next resurrection, there will be no earthly or even spiritual hindrance or opposition. Things will move quickly. Decisions will be taken and acted upon with no earthly friction. My grace will be poured out generously, and it will make for a holy, unprecedented acceleration.
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Romans 8:11
Recall the movie Double Jeopardy. Once prosecuted for the murder of her husband, she could not be tried again. This is the principle behind this resurrection. This is the very principle behind resurrection. In the spirit realm, there is a law of no double jeopardy. So once death and resurrection occurs, you are free indeed. This is the way it is with your very own soul. If Christ has set you free, if you have died with Christ and shared in His resurrection, My dear one, you are free indeed. Let nothing hinder you from doing the good work I have set out before you and that which I have put in your hand. This is not a time to grow weary of doing good. This is a time to run. Whom or what shall you fear?
14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
Romans 8:14-17
In Christ, there is NO double jeopardy, and you will see this play out in the physical. You will see this play out on the world stage. You will watch as My next big resurrection act is such a stunner. The result will not only be the raising up. The result will be the no condemnation. The result will be absolute freedom. The result will be no hindrance and no friction. The result will be no double jeopardy. You will watch as those with the stones poised for stoning disappear.
33 Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies; 34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 Just as it is written,
Romans 8:33-39
“For Your sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Muse on the freedom you have in Christ. Are you living it? Are you walking as if you too have been resurrected and there is no condemnation, no one with legal authority throwing a stone? Are you walking as one cleansed and set free, who has power over the spiritual forces that do oppose you? Because they have no legal right to oppose one who has been washed white as snow. Return to the foot of the cross. Return in your heart to the empty tomb. Return to the the upper room, and remind yourself that once and for all, you have been set free. Whom or what shall you fear? Now My dear, you have been set free. Now you can chase down the lions and the bears that track you and torment you. You have behaved as the hunted, but you are empowered to be the hunter. This is true on a very personal, individual level, and you will see this truth play out in a major way on the world stage. Watch as the world is stunned, not only by My massive resurrection move, but they will be stunned, truly stunned when they recognize and understand that in this resurrection, there is NO double jeopardy. Freedom will reign, and that will be that.
How to Respond
- Declare over your life the scriptures, there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. Christ has set me free, so I am free indeed.
- Decree, I decree the spiritual law of no double jeopardy over me and my family. We have identified with Christ in his death and resurrection, and we cannot be subject to the law of sin and death again. I decree the law of no double jeopardy over this nation. The Lord will resurrect us, and He will set us free.
- Pray, Lord give us wisdom in this tumultuous time. Help us to recognize and take hold of the authority and rights we have as Your children, saved by grace and living as resurrected ones. Let us not shrink back in fear, but instead rise up as valiant warriors who have already overcome and whose battle is already won.
